  • I wish they had kept Singing Mountain in the game. The maps to it look so interesting. I want to explore it so bad.

  • I first heard this song on the DS soundtrack. I was amazed.

This song should've been in the actual game.

  • @DoomyDoom21 It is. Do one of the bonus dungeons.

  • This track was added to the chrono trigger DS game, along with a snowy mountain in one of the dimmentional distortion worlds

  • Is it not in the Antiquity Dimentional Vortex on DS?

  • It's not in the game, it's one of 2 or 3 unused songs.

  • Yah I don't remember this song in the original SNES version.

  • I'm just playing the Dimensional Vortex on the DS version and this song instantly caught my attention. Truly the best track of the game! Makes me want to check out the OST ;)

  • It is a great game for those who have not played it. I can't believe iv'e never heard this song before either... It brings me to peace...

  • I am ashamed i've never heard this song until now :) !

  • yeah...i heard that they had planed in the begin to have 2 character for each element (considering robot dark, Toma would be fire and Schala would be light element). I really don't know why they don't do this....

  • @Protilisk

They did, but I could only remember it being in the DS version :D

And I loved every bit of it.

  • this song was included in the game but was never used in it, by the way, the version of chrono trigger for nintendo ds, has a secret dungeon were this song plays..;)

    so fans, go for it..:P

  • Yea and its play in a perfect place for this song :D

  • This almost sounds like What I've Done by Linkin Park, especially the piano parts. This definately is up there, if not better than that song. .

  • Why the **** they didn't put this in the game?!

  • It's an unreleased song so it was not included in the game

  • I dont even remember this song

  • why is it that chrono triggers art seems very similar to DBZ ;S

    i always wondered that

  • the artist who drew dbz drew the sprites for the chrono trigger characters, and some art for the developers.

  • its the same artist for both :P

  • i believe it was the creator of the DBZ series helped with either artwork or storyline i'm leaning more to artwork but i never played this game always wanted to. should be remade for psp

  • At the beginning I almost thought It was the intro to FF3 (or 6, whatever).

  • No this song never plays in the game itself :( although its really good

  • So that's why I don't remember ever hearing this in the game. And I'm a huge CT fan.

  • 34!? >:( i hate u

  • make your own list then

and thats y ctrigger only gets a 99.9 from me

    stil top game EVA!!!!!!

    Triple Tech - Arc Impulse.

  • This is only included in the DS version, when you get to the Dimensional Vortex in 12,000BC.(Antiquity) You go through some random flashbacks of places you have been, and one of those is a place you never did. It has no name, it shows ??? in the menu screen instead of saying a location. It's an icy mountain that reminds me of Death Peek. Also, the tune starts immediately in the DS version. How do I remember so well? I was playing it just a couple of hours ago!

  • Incredible...

  • I'm the authority on the music in CT. This was never in the game until the DS version. If you're ever thinking that it was in the game, that's just because you're remembering the sound of the wind on Death Mountain. If you still think it was in one of the games, you're just wrong. There, I said it. It wasn't in the game.

    And it should have been.

  • Correction. It also appears in the "extras" section of the PS1 re-release, Final Fantasy Chronicles. When you beat the game, you unlock it and may listen to it, but it does not appear in-game, per say.

  • this really was supposed to be in the snes version

i have a pre-release rom and with codes and i was able to get to an unfinished singing mountain while this song was playing

    it is the truth

  • @biglmac it was in the proto as well :)

  • good, but I don't think it should have made #34. Just my opinion

  • I think it's scaling up "Death Mountain." No, not the one from Zelda, either. (It's that one mountain you revive Crono with, using the Doll.)

  • Mmmh...Sounds like Laputa Castle in the Sky from Miyazaki oO

  • my favorite track of this game is the theme track! but this one still rock! so lovely.

  • this is a great song.. first time I'm hearing it

  • another chrono trigger??

  • Yep and more are coming, chrono cross is coming too :)

  • cant w8 cuase for me music from Chrono Cross is the best...well one of ;)

  • @Top100GameMusic I thought chrono cross was already released on the first PlayStation

  • This is such a kick ass song.

  • Although this song never appeared in the original game it has such a strong CT feel there is no doubt that it should not belong in the game. I'm glad to hear it has been included in the DS version.

  • I meant that it should appear in the game.

  • Chrono Trigger DS!

  • Memories come back :)

  • I believe this track is from a dungeon that was taken out of the final version or something. it doesn't play in the SNES version of CT.

I think it might play in CTDS though.

  • This track was released only on the OST and the PSX port of CT, along with the alternate Battle Theme.

This song plays during Schala's ending in the DS port.

  • Wow I don't remember this one at all O_O It's really nice though..

  • I'm gonna get the game on the DS for christmas! Can't wait!

  • snes is million times bettar!

  • I'd disagree. The DS version is quite a bit better in that it has everything the SNES version has and more.

  • like wat?

n plus with snes its just awesome coz its snes

  • Oh...four new dungeons, a new superboss, improved translation, and portability. Not to mention that this song is actually included. The original Chrono Trigger was a great game, but you shouldn't base your opinion just because something is what it is.

  • What I meant to say in that last part was was, that you shouldn't say the SNES is great because it's the SNES. That's called circular logic.

  • damn

    thats actually pretty dope

now all i need is a ds

  • The new translation is much worse because they took out several classic lines and used lame names like Fiendlord for Magus.

Also, SqENIX shouldn't be charging $40 for a 14 year old game. $8 on VC would be a much better buy.

  • IDIOT......the older the more expensive They dont make this game anymore so the price for it would go to 100 dollars why u think marvel vs capcom cost as much as a new 360 game....unlesss crono triggers gets made for VC )which i doubt) it will be a high price...but its virtually free with *******

  • Actually it is you who are the idiot. You can get Chrono Trigger on SNES for around $40. You only have to pay $100 if you want the box and instructions.

  • ahh... its still worth it for the DS, that game is tha bomb!

  • Wow what a great song!

  • I hope you put more chrono trigger tracks in this countdown, they are some of the most beautiful pieces in video game music history.
