Perhaps your RF scrambled Mr. Whippy's sat nav? Your homebrew constructions are always exceptionally impressive. Keep up the great work! - Mike/KC2TAU
@928GTSR Mike, Mr Whippy fronted up almost as soon as I set up and started calling CQ (unsuccessfully). His sales were as unsuccessful as my calls and he left. Then I made the quarter wave a half wave and made the contacts recorded.
Excellent, I'm loving your videos! I only live about 1.5 hrs drive from the coast, but rarely get out there to operate /P. I need to do that more, as it looks like you are having a lot of fun. Keep up the great work! de NT7S
@tmarinos Thanks Theo. Vk3-VK5 should be fairly easy given my position along the bay. Even done it pedestrian mobile once or twice on 40m. I usually go portable at short notice - so could put on a note before leaving (takes about 30 min to walk down there, find a spot, set up etc).
@Rob Over here Dick Smith used to stock them until the early 2000s. Only the 50mm version was sold here, but you could get just the drive as well as the dial and drive.
I was lucky to buy a box of 10 from an amateur garage sale, but now have none left (unless I start cannibalising projects) :(
Very nice Peter. I used to be able to buy those vernier drives in the UK from Maplins, and they came in three different sizes. After they stopped stocking them I have never found a source again at a reasonable price! 73 - Rob VK2GOM / G0MOH

@vk3ye
Now that you mention it looks like your RF scared away all of Mr. Whippy's customers! :)
You may be onto something....

Nice work Peter. Really enjoy watching your videos. Try to let us know when you'll be going portable again on vklogger and I'll listen out for you.
