the problem with the iphone is that it makes everything so complicated, there are so many things that apple can do to make the iphone better, but they dont. lol, iphone users have to jailbreak for themes..I like the OS, I have an iPod touch, but I mean as a phone, having to look at the same OS EVERY day would definitely get stale after a while imo. rows and rows of apps, nothing different. the moment the nexus one was released almost everyone knew it was an iphone 3GS killer on the spot. but we'll see how the next gen of the iPhone goes.

By the way... Apple cheated on the development of the iPhone by acquiring a company that developed multi-touch screens and pads.

This phone would be my choice because it is open source, customizable, it multi-tasks, 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, etc.

All about Android! I don't like the iPhone. Apple is big time greedy! No open source, no personal customization for it until jailbroken. Apple is trying to make jailbreaking ILLEGAL! uh huh, because the iphone is also an entertainment device and movies can sap storage like no other. I appreciate the attack, lets keep it civil. With the option of an sd slot I can get 64gb on my device without having to buy a new one. That has always been my biggest gripe with apple, no expandable storage. Although I agree with your previous comment that the iPhone's OS and apps/interface are far superior to any android devices I've used

Well, that depends. Flash memory has gotten to a point where it doesn't really make a difference, and if the nexus already uses flash for its storage there won't be a noticeable difference between the internal and external memory speeds, if of course you get a reasonable quality card. Apple can obviously pull fixed storage off because they make more money with the higher price points, so why give that away to the flash card makers.

The average customer of the iPhone has no idea how to jail break the iPhone (or what the hell it means).

lol The iPhone is the best phone by far. I'm not a fanboy. I have two Mac computers and I use my PC more that I do them. The iPhone does anything that any other phone can do. Unlike other phones it is basically running mac on a smaller screen and a different UI.

of course the iphone will be on top, at least for a while. other phone companies try to mimic it but usually fail. the nexus one seems alright, but the iphone still has greater capacities to fill everyone's wants.

I guess that there would be no wow factor when you see how it slows down. Only a good and smooth working piece of hardware may actually cause a wow effect. Fortunately or unfortunately, today it's only iPhone. It's hard for a person who is using iPhone to go and use a different phone. It's like working on windows 7 after snow leopard. You always notice bad things about it after using something better.
