Yes, well that story has been a bit overromantisized. The political and judicial work was also significant. For small nations between big ones it is a matter of seizing the right moment when the big ones have other matters on their mind. And then declare something, and make it legally correct enough so that later it would be difficult to argue. Singing was a decoration. It happened so also in 1918. Hopefully this time it will last.

Wenn man Laulupidu 2007 eingibt, bekommt man eine Übersetzung, während des Gesangs von Tönis Mägi.

Ich finde die Version von 2007 noch schöner. Es ist dort Tag, man kann die wunderbaren Chöre deutlich sehen, und die Begeisterung der Menschen ist noch lebhafter.

Ja, es ist ein großes Erlebnis, am liebsten möchte ich mal dort hinfahren!
