We may have been the first to see this whale and her calf close-up in the estuary on the afternoon of June 26th. My bother saw her swimming right in the river mouth that same morning. This video was taken on the east side of the barrier beach about 100 yards from the ocean. I believe the 101 bridge is 3 or 4 miles upriver.
