That being said, CryEngine 3 is best in the long-run. Whilst many fans bitch about Crysis 2 not being the technical marvel Crysis 1 was in its time, it's because Crytek didn't want to take full advantage of it just yet. But technically, and rather obviously, CryEngine 3 is the better engine to go for.

@gomez1323 The guy who recorded this, (nice vid btw, cool physics) was not actually getting that smooth performance at the time of actually performing those physics effects. As LB10671 said, you can see the developers info pane in the top right at 1:08, he is getting 4-5 FPS. It looks smooth because the software hes using records every frame indiviually and then places them together, it does not record real time image output. Thus renders a smooth looking vid

Wow I see a lot of morons commenting. The Ps3/360 argument is stupid. the Ps3 has anti-aliasing abilities. There are quality differences between the Ps3 and 360. The hardware is superior in a Ps3. Most developers are just not used to coding for it as the 360 still holds a much higher market share for the gaming industry. The lighting and drawing effects for the Ps3 are far superior as well. You are a mass market audience who only see and hear the pretty features of the device.

@bsony11 Not really lol, I own all 3, and 360's DVDs only affect disc size, not the actual quality. Each console has exclusives that show off the console's powers but all general games almost look the same. Almost as in, sometimes it's better on ps3 and sometimes on 360. PC shouldn't even be compared to them due to the console's 6 year old technology. The 360's graphical capabilities are very much in par with that of the ps3.

I'm getting a new rig soon so I'll be able to fit even more explosions into one clip. Although it's rendered, there's only so many explosions you can fit on the screen before the 8800 gtx crashes, causing severe artifacts which requires a restart. That's why some of the clips are cut short in the beginning.
