  • Hayao always had trouble with the Dudley matchup, didn't he?

  • @loxspliff1 you mean the quake 3 of fighting games...

  • @loxspliff1

Wait a second , did you just imply that Third strike is a generic fighting game whose community is full of twelve year old kids whining about their 1337 noscopes?

    Uh uuuuh , nope.

The only 12 you are going to see in this game can kill you in 5 seconds mind you.

  • Pwnt.

  • NO, HAYAO! He took down my hero......well played Dudley.

  • Best Dudley i have seen so far

  • i agree with schneee

    sf4 makes noobs win

    sf3 makes noobs cry...

  • @koufdell couldnt put it better myself. aymen brother

  • @schneee & @sonicGTX2

    THE FUCKING TRUTH BITCHES!!!!!

  • YA! YAA! YAAAAA! YA!

    lol

  • Well played Dudley. Hayao can't win every time.

  • hmm he lost...after 18 matches that ive seen from him

  • SF4 is a projectile game with fighting.

SF3 is a fighting game with projectiles.

  • you sir are an ass, you act as if he attacked you.

  • Well said.

  • i played sf4 before playing sf3.

ive got to say i like it much better. its just more fun with a wider variety of characters. on sf4 ther r like 6 people with the same move sets

  • @schneee I thought SFIII was a strategy game with fighting.

  • Jima is so amazing... best Dudley in the world IMO

  • Erm fujiwara ?

  • id say its open to discussion. jima has beaten fuji... dont really know at what time in whos 3s career that the videos took place because i heard fuji at his peak was damn near unbeatable. to me it doesnt seem like u can say one is outright better than the other

  • isn't this one of hugo's worst matchups? don't quote me on this, it's just what i've heard.

  • Definitely one of Hugo's worst. Definitely up there with his matchup with Chun-Li.

  • My Dudleys is crap so I guess that's why I find Urien and Hugo to be relatively tough opponents. I hear he has an edge on them both O_O I just don't find Dudley that tough in general...been a LONG time since I found him intimidating.

  • Jima's 1 of my fave' Dudleys :D

  • i love hayao

  • Hayoa got raped up the ass

  • lol at the end

    YAAAAAAA...

    YAAAAA, yaa...

    yaaa, Yaaaa, yaaa....

  • This is the first out of seven Hugo videos where Hugo actually gets beaten man this game looks awesome I think I'm going to go buy it and blow the dust off my PS2

  • this game is the shit...seriously the BEST SF.....even better then 4

  • Agree. SF4 is good, but there is something... lacking about it. Both when I watch or play it, though I only tried once.

  • Parrying is one.

  • you being stuck in the past is number 8

  • If you haven't noticed, a lot of stuff in the past beats the shit out of the stuff today.

    For example, 90s > now.

  • yeah there where alot of good games out then but whats that got to do with my comment

  • Comment removed

  • You made it seem like "living in the past" was bad. Most of the games back in the day had better concepts than the ones today.

For example, Street Fighter 3rd Strike's concept > Street Fighter 4's concept.

  • Many of today's games are too complicated. Pong didn't need a storyline, nor Ms. Pac-Man. Today's game designers want to be filmmakers (eg. Hideo Kojima), plus they make games long and hard, to try to get people addicted. Casual gamers like me get really annoyed; if a game is too frustrating, the fun goes out the window, I just give up and avoid buying from that developer again.

Street Fighter IV lasted only two weeks in my system. I don't feel like playing it.

  • Eh, maybe if you play offline it would get boring quick. Street Fighter, to me, is like an arcade game. You know, one of those games that don't really go anywhere but are fun to play over and over again.Same concept applies to games like Gears of War and Call of Duty.

You're probably talking about those RPG games. Those take for ever to beat but honestly they are pretty fun to play because of the progress you make in the game to build your character. I don't know, that's just me.

  • OMG i agree ALL THE DAMN WAY

    90's>now SERIOUSLY!

  • Yep. Still waiting on that time machine. :-\

  • slow movement is two.

  • Projectile spamming is three.

  • None of the SF3 cast is four.

Embarrassing 3D graphics instead of beautiful, hand-drawn art is five.

That fucking smug cunt of an announcer is six.

    Seth is seven.

  • But I for sure agree that SF4 needs some of these 3rd Strike characters, some of them are fucking awesome...

  • Wack music.

    Wack mechanics.

I'm not sure if the ultras get on anyone's nerves, but they do get on mine.

  • I don't like the Ultra system, makes it too easy. I almost never use specials in SF4, just EX and ultras.

  • I like it cause ot the parry system and i prefer the graphics of 3rd strike. The roster is nice and most of the charas are well balanced. IMO its the best Street Fighter cause its the hardest.

  • wow that is the exact opposite of my feeling toward 3rd strike.i wasnt found of the parrying but i had to learn it.I didnt like the graphics which still bothers me a little.i Hated the roster which was the main reason i stop playing and just because its hard doesnt make it the best. But i do appreciate your point of view and it does help me to understand why people like this game so much.I rather watch a 3rd strike match then play it.i am sure that sounds weird to you

  • Some people have their preferences. I personally love the parry system as it throws many possible OP moves out the window and really seems to balance the game quite well. The characters of 3 more out their and colorful than 2 and 4 (though in 4 Rufis is a fantastic addition and I love using him) and the music is a bit catchier in 3rd strike (whenever I walk through a door I hear Yun/Yang's stage in my head).

  • yes the music in 3rd strike was alot better. i actually turn off the music in 4 because its so bad.Any fan of rufus is cool with me

  • xDDDD

Thats not true!1YOu see almost every Char getting played at sbo for exampel...Even 2 12 players had played in this tournament.

The only char that did not Qualified was Sean.

  • Are you fucking stupid?

  • No I am not, and if you're going to insult other people, you should at least name one reason.

  • Oh, okay, you are. Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Youre not a good troll, you know?

  • All games are unbalanced. From shooting games to adventure, fighting to racing...they're all unbalanced.

Yes, we see a lot of people use Chun-Li, Yun and Ken, but that doesn't make them the best. It's how the players uses them. An expert can use a low tier and manage to whoop a high tier because of their gameplay (how they play; the reaction they give to others).

  • Ofc being top tier doesnt mean being undefeatable. MAybe I used the wrong expression by saying imbalanced - I was rather implying that is isnt as reasonable to play low tier characters in sf3 as in, say eg sf4, because of how good Yun, Ken and Chun-Li are in this game.

Sagat is also the top tier in sf4 but you dont see players constantly winning tourneys with this character - in fact, quite few Sagat players manage to actually get really high in tournaments.

  • Well, the reason why they use him because he has lower and upper fireball which zone users. However, I find that Zangief is very powerful, especially his 360 moves having high priority. (close ranger).

Not many people use Sagat in tournament to be honest because of the basic game SFIV is (setting up combo/ultra)..

Again, it's how people uses them, not because the tier list. For all we know, it's their favorite character (look at Diago; sticking to Shoto forever)

  • Yes, but the difference being that you have a much better chance of winning tourneys with low tier characters in sf4 than in sf3. Prime examples would be TKD and Tetsu, who both won a TRF tournament with El Fuerte, a supposedly very weak character.

Yes, you can also win tourneys with Q/Hugo/any low tier character, but it's even more of an uphill struggle.

  • Its actually more difficult to win with low tier characters in sf4. you mentioned 2 pros ( and i know there is more), but in sf3 there are a ton such as kuroda hayao pino exe etc. SF3 is the only game i know of where every character has a successfull corresponding pro player. On top of this the fighting system in sf3 (imo) levels the playing field for most characters allowing for huge combacks and above all for skill to prevail. Sf4 seems to reward zoning too much and slows down the pace of

  • of the battle further establishing the tier list and making it imo a more unbalanced game.

  • sf3 is also 10 years old while sf4 is only out for 1 year ;)

Also, while in sf4 projectiles are a very good tool, in sf3 theyre practically useless, which is also not necessarily a good thing.

  • it is, it forces players to try new things and inventive strategy instead of just rewarding those who would spam fireballs.

Plus fireballs arent useless in sf3 just because u can parry them doesnt mean they will always be parried, they are still used for zoning

  • @toemaetoe

They're not exactly useless, Ryu's EX fireball is awesome, so is Ken's. Akuma's air fireball is also great, and Remy's, too.

  • They're still not as dominant as in SF4.

  • Daigo played some Boxer in SF2

  • i dont understand why people put thumbs down to you, they must be noobs XD daigo definitly used boxer as well as ryu in SF2

  • Some people don't like facts I guess

  • that boxer is balrog my friend

  • last I've heard it's more like Sagat has a soft ban.

  • @sonicGTX2 DAMN STRAIGHT!

  • @sonicGTX2 Especially because it moves so smooth. Really it does.

  • @sonicGTX2 most sf games are "better" than sf4

  • yaghhhhh!

  • nice =)

  • sick dudley

  • Nice work using Dudley against probably the best Hugo player in Japan.

  • I hear Necro in the backround

  • genewildershair81 is right, the worst possible match-ups against hugo is chun li and dudley, (necro too) hugo have a large hitbox because is size, and all players that fight vs hayao turtle him so much, hayao is the one of the best players i've seen because he mastered the most underrated and hard character of SF3

  • i didnt know hayao played chun

  • Remy.

  • Hugo's worst matchup T_T

  • Hayao seems to have trouble vs Duds.. I see him rape Yuns Chuns and Kens, but he seems to always die to Duds.

  • dudley and chun li are hugos worst possible match ups from what i hear. dudley apparetnly has a strage hit box that makes him harder to land 360s and GBs on.

  • Also the fact that Dudley's pokes are naturally so good that it is almost impossible to land a grab vs a very good Dud player.

  • That's not true at all.

The added problem Dudley presents to Hugo is that Hugo's ground-to-air is not good. He has great air-to-air, but Dudley's jump is so fast and low and his air attacks so fast that Hugo can't do anything except try to parry or block on the ground. And Chun-Lis don't have to jump at all. Hugo's ground pokes can't come close to these two, so he eats a lot of attacks. A Chun-LI or Dudley who throws a lot is basically a death sentence for Hugo.

  • especially chun-li's floor...spinny...kick thing, sorry i dont play SF alot XD

  • In other words, Dudley is Hugo's bane.

  • Damn... very nice Dudley. I love hayao =(

  • well Hugo is at a disadvantage here -.-

  • Nice work using Dudley against probably the best Hugo player in Japan. Nice combos and mixups.
