  • lol i love how the cymbals are like WTF?! 7/8?!

  • cant give props where props are due...MDFS been clean like this since forever... technology has only given them an avenue to put it on you tube...what the people who dont know about them is that this is TRADITION for them.... people cant believe that an HBCU band can be this clean in all phrases of a complete marching band. So keep hating, it only tells the program that they are getting better. Striving for perfection is the only thing, because there is no room for nothing else...

  • could someone tell me on what note that i need to tune the quad....im a newbie so i donot now much about it...

  • THEY TOOK THAT FROM DCI!!! WTF!?!?!?!

  • @Scaremakers Blue Devils Baby!! Lol

  • @Scaremakers So? What's your point? The Blue Devils have chops. So do the MDFS. Why can't the MDFS play Blue Devils' music and put an urban spin on it?

  • @Scaremakers some of the members of MDFS are also DCI members so whats your point

  • @Scaremakers dude two of their members marched BLUE DEVILS. Alex Blake who played tenor for the BLUE DEVILS goes to this school and is on this drumline.

  • uh so what you mean dci perfection? I put my money on Funk squad anyday of the week against any dci squad...MDFS may lose A FEW, BUT NOT ALL!!!!

  • nobody does it like the devils

  • i wanna know who the big leg girl is ???? if u know tell me asap

  • i like how they fit the cymbals in ... nice.

  • a little slow dont you think?

  • hell yea! but its still an hbcu, n dey made it sound like a groove more or less, but it was pretty clean though

  • @snarespeed01 they like putting a little funk into it

  • well the band looks like they're having fun

  • 33-37 is the best part

  • That's a MEAC school too. aww mann, look out

  • @Music1592 well yea, MEAC has the cleanest drumlines outa the hbcus

  • @386niggah Yeah i know, cuz i march for one.

  • @Music1592 das wassup! who dat doh??

  • @386niggah NSU MDFS. cleanest line in the MEAC

  • @Music1592 Lol das real, i dont like how cookman march 12 snares, das too much to me. Ib be gud wit just 10, or proly 8 like yall n dat help keep it clean

  • @386niggah yeah I feel you man. One year A&T marched 14 snares and sounded like butt. But they cutt it to 9 this yr

  • blue devils betta watch out lol

  • Clean Baby! That's what we use to stay out all night under the lamps till one in the morning doing...

    MDFS- Forever 1991-1994

  • some of you are amazing I'm convinced, no matter how much a line steps up it will be never be good enough. To that I say fuck off! These guys a versitle line and have great chops, no its not your standard played out boom chicka beat, and its not "DCI perfection", But it is good and MDFS is the sickest line I have seen from corps to show. In closing I would also like to say that it seems as though a lot of corp people are pretty stuck up and can't give props. Great job MDFS From a true Fan.

  • @LargeNoncaucasion AMEN! Cudnt have said it better lol

  • @LargeNoncaucasion what do you mean dci perfection?.....From what i just saw on that video...the sound was just as or as better than some dci that I've seen with my on two eyes....everybody assumes that hbcu dance and flip flop around...that maybe be true...MDFS is better than some dci drummers...YEAH I SAID IT....not talking trash because I've been a fan of NSU legion all my life (yes my mother played sax there also) but i give props and respect where its due...shiit i like dci bluedevils too.

  • @LargeNoncaucasion well said

  • this is actually pretty cool. I diddnt expect to see that cleanliness from a college line playing ditty.

  • to boring for me!!

  • it could just be you are a boring person ?

  • nAh...just nuthin really funky bout the cadence bruh...excellent section....but the cadence just needs to be saved for something other than playing at a game...notice that there own people werent bobbing their heads...BUT MY SECTION NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM!!AND TRUST ME...WHEN WE PLAYED WE MADE THE JUNKIES COME OFF FROM UNDER THE BRIDGE HERE IN ATLANTA...USE THE CONTEXT CLUES ABOUT WHAT SECTION IM REFERRING TO.

Type in 16 groove at the top!I can give you the footage showing us putting it on them

  • It may be boring but you got to agree that it was clean and precise

  • you really think your 16 groove warm up is that good??....it was alright..but that shit is no where near at technical as ditty..and it wasnt really that clean..MB is good..but its no MDFS..and im not biased in anyway..have "your section" play ditty and then we will see which is better..noone in your clip was bobbing heads eather..

  • If you don't think they can play it up to tempo your crazy. Go MDFS!!!!!!!

  • For a hbcu to play it i would say hands down MDFS is the truth slow or fast

  • For a hbcu to play it i would say hands down MDFS is the truth slow or fast

  • maybe it waz slower but it was clean too

  • Who cares if it's slower than BD's. You know, it is possible things like that are what separate a world class drum corps from a college. The sound quality and stick heights are still there, and besides, playing drum music slower than normal is harder in some ways.

  • If you guys knew the original ditty was a 60 SECOND on field warmup, you would know that this 50 second version isn't too slow...but yea, everyone's been spoiled in this world where speed = chops. you find me another SHOWSTYLE line that EVERY SECTION can play ditty (save the one cymbal player)

  • thats too slow..

  • I've been spoiled by the faster tempo. I still give MDFS its props though. *thumbsup*

  • Lovin' it, man. You can feel the groove at this tempo.

  • dude if n e one sends me the "right" tenor part for this, you will open pandoras box of sheeet music!!! please hit me up!!!

  • aww man. if this was faster...it would be awesome.

  • @thedruminstructor if they played it at the original tempo then it would be copywriting. they had to change something to kind of call it their own. and besides HBCU lines like to groove. you cant hear a groove if you're playing it fast. its actually better to play things slower. espcailly if you are playing for an audience full of non musicians. i=this is actually better than the original in my opinion

  • I think it has more of a groove to it if you play slower.

  • Ditty (with a twist) in the stands... nice..

  • wtf are the cymbols doing

  • toooo slow its 140 not 120 lol
