Birmans seem to love water! My birman jumped into the bath with me once and just had a swim. Cutest thing ever :)

Sometimes my wife has to watch out for our male birman. He comes close to jumping in the tub with her while she is bathing.

I think you have to go to a cat breeder. It can probably cost up to 700-1000 dollars. But trust me its worth it :)

We came across ours at the pound. They are often mistaken for Siamese. If you aren't going to breed (they are fixed), it is MUCH cheaper! About $100 that way. Otherwise you are definitely looking at at least $700 and up.

Breeding means you want the cat to have kittens. Since the pound requires you to have the cat neutered that isn't an option. If you just want the one then it wouldn't matter. I personally would LOVE to have more but you just can't miss on the price cut. Hope you find one you love. They are GORGEOUS and hardly shed...BONUS!!!

haha! My Birman is super tame and obsessed with water but even she freaks out after jumping into the bath. This is so strange!
