Yes and then someone decided after Elvis died to take his name of the memorial at Pearl Harbour because he "took drugs". For goodness sake, Elvis hated street drugs, yes he took drugs and maybe too many but the were prescribed by his doctor.
@elvisworldwide Thanks for your reply, I was watching a dvd , an old timer , pearl harbour vet, he was very upset that Elvis name had been removed after he died. Elvis was the biggest contributor to the Pearl Harbour memorial and they do this???? Crazy.
It was apparently some senators who decided his name should be removed.
Elvis was a fabulous singer, actor and performer. But, more important was his kind and loving heart! Elvis never stopped giving! There will never be another like him! :) God Bless his beautiful soul. Elvis4Ever!!
Yes, the cape that Elvis threw to the audience was donated to Graceland years later. The belt that he threw to the audience during the rehearsal show ended up in a private collection.
Elvis was the forerunner of so many things including the "giving" that is so fashionable for stars who earn stupid amounts of money. Thing is Elvis gave from his heart and most of the "stars" these days give a fraction of their worth and that fraction is usually a way to dodge tax.
@daveyanna I agree with you, Elvis did not even bother to claim the tax back on his charity donations. He didn`t just give to charities either, he gave to total strangers, paid hospital bills, funerals, bought houses, cars, bikes etc for anyone and everyone, I don`t honestly think I have ever heard of anyone as generous as Elvis, he cared not for material things in life, he had far more pleasure making others happy with his generosity.
You know,I always look forward to your videos and this is yet another outstanding one, packed with interesting information ,excellent steve. Will be going straight to my faves now.
Hey Steve there are alot of Elvis channels out there but yours is by far the most informative about the man who would become America's only reigning monarch, yes our King, It was he that opened up the doors for so many artists including the black singers and songwriters who would never have made it into mainstream America without him. And also the one The Beatles said before Elvis there was no one, Thanks for posting this inside look of life of Elvis Aaron Presley, ciao, Jimmy
There is Elvis and everyone else. Elvis walked the walk and talked the talk. He never forgot where he came from and felt for others who suffered recalling his own humble beginnings. There is no one else like him and probably will never be again. He did alot of good in his short 42 years of life and will NEVER be forgotten for his good works incredible talent and ability to feel for his fellowman. The worlds a much less place without him!!!

Very nice! I like this! For example at 1:23 after the man got the keys in his hand, that moment when he gives Elvis a kiss of happiness. :)
