  • 10... retard.. ;) great landing !

  • @JLangevin

I think you're an idiot and a hypocite for assuming that i'm assuming. It is irrelevant whether someone is qualified or not to have a discussion about safety. What I have stated are possible issues that can and most likely will cause an incident in the future. Let's all hope; a non fatal. Forums such as this have been designed to have positive discussions, not for disses. Hope you learned something today.

  • fuck meee

  • WOW. Thank God for technology.

  • @acherasover. Sorry your wrong as a airline captain I have never been towed onto a gate in low vis. Here is a question for you, if the visibility was that low how would the tug find you. And I suggest that you read the comments all the way through. As badassairman was the captain of that flight.

  • This is not a cat III 3b then if u saw the runway at 10 feet its CAT iii C

cat iii B u must c runway lights at 50 no lower

  • @Vorox144 Actually, visibility of AT MOST 50 feet and RVR of between 75 and 200 meters in ILS CAT IIIb.

  • @mceyran oh ok :)

  • He said retard, ha ha.

  • then what happens after u land , how can u see where to park at the gates? GPS ?

  • @abbreviateTome well we can see two to three lights in frot of us and the ATC can see us on their ground radar.

  • @badassairman wrong, they are towed into the gates. The crew can't safely navigate an airport with that amount of fog.

  • @badassairman That's fine, but what if there is an obstruction on the runway? Wildlife, debris, disabled vehicle? I think this is a very risky procedure and airlines only get away with it, because passengers are unaware of this fact. This procedure should be an emergency procedure only in case of low fuel, etc.

  • If you are an airline pilot you should know how expensive it is to fly to your alternate... If there is an authorized cat-3 at any airport is because its safe and they proved its safe.. The regulations are made by people that only thinks about safety, actually this should be considered a equipment that can help a lot an airplane whit problems... Actually there was a crash in new york where an airplane ran out of fuel, they only had 1 try to land and they failed cuz weather, this would saved em.

  • @mariodela That crash at NY was due to the pilots not declaring an emergency.. there is lots of documentation regarding that issue. They advised that they were low on fuel, but not that they were bingo... if they had declared a proper emergency, they would have been handled differently. You also forgot to mention where they circled the airport for quite a while prior to attempting to land.. JFK had lots of traffic and they werent vectored right in.

  • @RonPaulOrStatusQuo I dont believe you are qualified enough to make assumptions like that...

  • I wouldn't even drive in that. :-/ Great job and amazing technology.

  • Insane! Do the pilots use the instruments after touchdown??

  • I dislike this. You shouldn't call people retards.

  • Retard. lol

  • simply: WOW!

  • Amazing. How do they taxi with only seeing 10 feet in front of them?

  • @normanmj atc has ground radar and they guide us

  • the plane called him a retard lol

  • @rajithaify no dear its technology. it is letting us know what it is doing

  • @badassairman it's letting the pilot know when to retard the throttles to idle.

  • @4fifty8 in this condition and sequence of autopilot it does it by itself even if we dont bring the throttles back to idle. AUTOTHRUST !!!

  • now that is zero visibility, wow, Trust your instruments, they have nerves of steel! or is it copper?

  • Did the autopilot fly the plane all the way to touchdown?

  • @sampcar yes

  • people dare not dislike this!!! AWESOME FLYING GUYS!! HATS OFF TO YOU!!!!

  • this is what I call 0 visibility landing !! great !!

  • @badassairman full of shit lol

  • I would trust my children with this man. What a cool Okra!

  • I'm a commercial pilot and have flown approaches with very low vis, but that there was totally awesome! yeah..trust me you need not only nerves of steel but big balls too..lol

  • I'm gonna agree with your alert system. You're a retard for trying to land in those conditions! ....but nice landing either way!

  • I drove the president ( a retard) with less visibility than that ....urrp!

And at higher speeds in the limo(belch), and never spilled a drop of my beer!

  • Whoa, now that's trust. If you can hear, touch, and see the definition of the word, this is it.

  • How can ATC safely guide planes in those conditions. There could be a plane sitting on the runway and no one would have any idea.

  • @Jeff7477 The radar would tell the atc,and in the incoming plane the TCAS would tell that there was traffic on the runway :D

  • wtf how did u read the taxi signs to park and find the gate ?????#

  • very crazy, how did you read the taxi signs and find the gate?

  • @o3vn They didnt land, they crashed ! Unfortunatly !! Technology has made a huge difference ,still nerves of steel required to reley on your avionics to get you down safe !!

  • Sir, are you a pilot at indigo airlines?

  • shit my pants....

  • How do you taxi in that vis?

  • how did pilots land during these conditions before ILS was introduced?

  • @o3rvn They didn't

  • They didn't, although ILS has been around for a long time...

  • Thats amazing man! You must be stressing out when they call 20 feet and you dont see the runway. Small amount of time to make a decision.

  • Insane! Aviation has come a long way!

  • @atenco01 I tell you man, it amazes me everyday

  • The reason I choose Boeing over Airbus. I don't want the plane calling me a retard every time I land

  • @badassairman- I checked your response today only and feel really enthusiastic that a real world pilot replied me.I would definitely call you. Hope you don't mind answering my questions on aviation.

    Cheers,

    Rajeev

  • Very scary...One must have complete trust in the instruments..Great job!

  • @badassairman- very very nice. I was scared when i saw this, since i could see neither PAPI lights and no visibility. I am not a pilot but wanted to be pilot and turned engineer a perfect 3 idiots story but yes i am expert in Flight simulator and completed my ILS approach at RW-14 VABB yesterday. wish i were you:)

  • sirji very nice apprch and autoland.......

  • great job dude, well i can see its efficiency great dam job but seems like a night mare.

  • dude sick video. Havent seen a CATIIIB with such low vis, quite amazing. Good job autoland!! air india???

  • Thanks. The airline is called INDIGO. An Indian domestic airlline.

  • I was the captain on this flight. It is an A-320

  • this call out is only heard in a boeing , its a boeing 737-800

  • @tapemagic only airbus' call you a retard.

  • @tapemagic If you hear the word retard in a 737-800 something is really wrong.......
