  • - thanks so much!!!!!i get it already!!!

  • great video

  • @SocklessMurder Thank you!

  • I have tried but it does not work on my Mac. Are u using PC or Mac? I use MacBook Pro Mac OS X version 10.6.5

  • @polaco614 You probably have to use something like "cmd" or "command" instead of "control"/"ctrl". I don't know :S

  • Too fast. Do you think u can do this with voice and a bit more slow as I really want to learn this . thanks much.

  • @polaco614 It is only a short video, you can pause and replay the video. Just read all the annotations and you should be able to do it.

There isn't really a specific technique to this, you just need to follow these steps and practice it.

  • You did an excellent job on the video and thanks for putting the writing in there I loved it.......Don't care for music but yours wasn't bad at all............Thanks so much I did Subscribe............

  • @judy4176 Thank you, its royalty free so that is why it is not of a great standard. Although, royalty free music has taught me to appreciate and enjoy all music.

  • Thanks, it worked for me :)

  • @TheJQKteam No problem! Glad I could help :)

  • this video is to fast and the music sucks.

  • @Gargchic Let me put on my care face.

  • @Gargchic if u dont have anything nice to say go have a wank and drop the stress cuz. This guy took time out to make the vid, not for cocksuckers like u to go down on it, dont like it? Well fuck off and find somthin else.

  • @adamuchan Thanks for supporting me, I really appreciate it :)

  • @chrisybwell u welcome bud

  • @Gargchic Seriously you are right... Maybe you said it too roughly but... it's quite too fast, you always need to stop the video to be sure that you didnt miss something, (It is my personal opinion) but It could be better if you talk in the video to explain it Mr. ''chrisybwell''. Finally the song....hum....loll...

  • @Sasam29 If they are really that interested in learning they can:

-Load it in a higher quality to see better

-Pause until they are at the same step

-Replay the video until they know what to do (it is only a short 1 minute video)

-Ask in the comments section nicely about anything they are unsure of

I did go a lot slower than I usually do and there is little to talk about other than what you can see on screen and in the annotations. If I talked, people would complain about my voice.

  • i try this at home but instead of face ,the whole else background is selected....plz help.....any mistake done by me

  • @wakiani Press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection.

  • @deki94hacker Is the H key stuck in? Is the tool doing its job even though the hand cursor is displayed? Does it do this every time? Does it do this in other applications? Have you tried changing the cursor settings in the preferences menu?

  • @dollahadam Thanks

  • when i grab an eraser,i erase alot my picture too so i need to do it slowly but you can do it fast without erasing your picture how??

  • @maarten0073 I have got a graphics tablet. It basically allows you to draw using a pen instead of a mouse.

It is really worth it, you can get a great one fairly cheap. If you don't want to do that then a little trick I used to use was going into control panel and into your mouse settings...then I would turn the sensitivity down. Not a great alternative but it still helps.

  • @chrisybwell Thx :)

  • @maarten0073 No problem.

  • please can anyone give me the link of free download of ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS4 .. please i need it .. thank you if someone replies me....

  • @bangznena No that is illegal.

  • READ THIS: Please post any questions or tips you have. Thank you.

  • this was really helpful :D thanks :)

  • nice tuto!

  • @keus10 Thank you ;)

  • Removing the logo without messing the face is the tricky part. I've been using Photoshop 7.0 almost all my life changed to cs4 this week "same basic shit".

  • @elboss1012 I can remove it a lot easier now in CS4/CS5. In 7 I found it more difficult.

  • @KCmedia10 same :S

  • @KCmedia10 It is the same process.

  • if u erase a little 2 much like u cut off a little bit of the image how do u revive it back like get wut ever u by accidently cut off besides press ctrl z plz respond

  • @SoulTaker1003 Ctrl + Alt + Z.

Ctrl + Z is pretty useless in Photoshop.

  • guys, new adobe suite cs5 crack is out, add this after youtube url /watch?v=E323PX0mCQ0

  • ctrl+x to remove the background isnt work to me help

  • @Rafo1996 Have you made the selection? Is there little moving white and black dots/ants? It won't delete it if you haven't selected the background.

  • @chrisybwell oo no men thanks for saying man thanks

  • lol... wtf tutorial is tis? not clear man,,

  • @ilovecwz Do you have annotations enabled and are you watching in a high enough quality to see what I am doing?

  • Comment removed

  • Nice Job.

    Thanks,

    Karen

  • @brianfaithbandsongs Thank you.

  • I am learning how to do this now in Graphics 10 in school (Except we use Adobe illustrator) to bad you cant do this fun stuff

  • wat the name of the sng is????

  • well, this video just shows how to erase a layer, i was hoping to find how to erase the backround, as in the bottom layer, so i could make it into a png.

  • This video shows you how to erase the background of an image, not how to make a transparent PNG. To erase the "background" layer double click on it and press okay. You should now be able to delete its contents with ease either by pressing Ctrl + A and deleting the image data, pressing the trash can icon in the bottom right and deleting the layer itself or by pressing the eye to the left of the layer changing its visibility to false. Then you can save it as a PNG.

  • if i import a picture in it then another picture which is on top of it

    and pressed ctrl+X

it will erase my 1st picture or not?

  • Ok im sorry for asking but

How Exatcly Do you open an outside image into a new layer on the same window without opening a new window with the outside image in photoshop?

  • i accidentally selected selected something when i was hoping for stroking. Now i dont know how to unselect it. please help!!

  • Read the annotation at about 1:14, it tells you what you might need to do.

  • Wen I Do Ctrl X My Picta Gets Deleted Not Background! Any Help???

  • I saw blender 3d

  • wen i press ctrl x it doesnt work pissin me of

  • I can't delete background. ctrl+x doesn't work

  • u have to make duplicate the backgound..then u can delete the old one or the one u messed up

  • not work....

    This is DAMN SHIT MAN!!!

  • Does work, only you did not do everything I did. Replay it if you need to, just do everything I do.

  • where can I save them so i can use them in photoshop i have vista now and its soo confusing:(

  • how do you get brushes like from a site to photoshop? i'm tryin to save them but where can i?

  • C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Brushes

    Its no different in Vista.

  • I'm new to this. Can you tell me, how you added one image over another - when I try to do so it appears in a new window?

  • does anyone know where the underline icon is? I'm trying to underline in text and can't find it.

  • Window>Character

  • I like the music...

    Nice

  • Yaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy

I hated it when I first put it on, but now that I've heard it so many times I like it lol

  • Done it, But i go 2 move the cropped area then it layour is locked?

  • Double click the background layer and press OK. If that doesn't work, click the locked layer and click the little padlock icon in the layers palette where it says "Lock".

  • how do u erase the background at like 1:13 once your done doing the path thing

  • Ok, what I do is I click on the paths pallette. Near the bottom right hand corner. If you can't see it, go to the top of the screen, Window>Paths then right click on the path thing (part you want to cut out) then click make selection and use all the settings in the video. Press ok and it will select it. Press Ctrl+Shift+I if you want to invert it. =D

  • dude please help me im new when using this software any basis step, looking fowrward to your response thansk.ex. change color.paste to onther picture.change xome backgound thnaks

  • Yah, I'll do that, if you click everything in this video as I do, you should be able to remove the background. I'll send you a PM when I upload it.

  • No problem. I really wish I had this tutorial when I was starting out. It was the one thing I really wanted to do.

  • you forgot to remove the water mark. how you do dat.

  • Nah, I didn't forget. Your not meant to remove to watermark, your meant to buy the photo. An easy way to do it with this photo would be to use the healing brush and the clone stamp tool to copy the skin over it.

When using either of them, press ALT to select the source, let go and draw over where you want it copied to.

  • thank you so much

  • No problem :)

  • ctrl+shift+i

  • Thanks jinkis4.

  • Have you made the path a selection? Have you the correct layer selected? Did you do every single thing that I did?

  • In the bottom right of your layers window, click the second button from the right. Its beside the trashcan. Then just paste onto your new layer. Alternatively, you can create a new layer by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N.

  • Stop Hating On The Guy.. No Ones Forcing You To Watch His Videos.. Dont Be Angry Because Your A Crap Ass Graphic Designer.!!!!

  • Thank you

    *hugs heemysofresh*

  • I think people will agree with me that it is not my fault you can't work with basic functions on a computer.

  • I'm sorry? Your shouting at me because you don't know how to paste? Ctrl+V to paste, Ctrl+N creates a new document (sigh).

  • Pause around 0:23 seconds.

Thats the reason why many people give up on the pen tool.

  • Comment removed

  • I have 2 layers and 2 images. Look at around 1:37, you see that the person is in his own layer and not in the same layer as the background image. If you want them to be in the same layer, right click the upper layer and click merge down.

  • youhave best video

  • Thanks.

  • its cause iam new to photoshop

  • Probably, but again, don't worry. At the start all I could do was coloured squiggles and smudge them in a certain direction. Its all good art.

You'll learn over time. I have been using Photoshop for over a year now, so don't expect to be able to do it as good as me yet :)

  • Mike, leave then pen tool for a week or two. Don't try and create anything that makes sense..........yet.

Go through all the tools and see what they do. Flick through all the menus and see what each thing does. Then think of different ways you could use each tool to make a photo better. Its hard, I know, but keep at it.

  • i cant do the edges. i got my picture, and i press the pen. Then i try it, and it doesnt get the edges. pleaze help

  • Did you do anything else after you pressed the pen tool? If you follow the annotations then you will get it, the pen tool just takes a bit of practice to work.

  • i have to place another picture below it?

  • i press the pen.then i try to trace the image. but when i start, like its not tracing. it just makes lines ,and curves

  • Thats because the pen tool is a very precise tool. You click then drag around to get the angle, curvature etc. correct. Then you do the same again. Keep trying, you will realize that this is 10 times more precise than a free lasso tool (that it how you are using the tool, which is wrong).

chivas1793, I hated the pen tool to begin with, I didn't understand how to use it so I adopted unrealistic slow methods instead. Believe me, big mistake. Stick with it from the start, don't give up on it.

  • your tutorial dosent work, u press ctrl n to paste the image and when u do, it just pastes a white background? nice

  • I press Ctrl+N to create a new image. I paste to add a picture. I just press the keys so fast you don't notice it.

  • my view is different than yours, what type of layers and view do you have.

  • I have a custom workspace, displaying the toolbar on the left, top right window contains navigatior, histogram and info, the one below that contains the colour, swatches and styles pallettes, the one below that contains history and actions and the final one contains layers, 3d, channels and paths.

Changing your view to basic/essentials should give you all the tools used in this video.

  • BTW: Ctrl+V is the Windows shortcut for paste.
