Not all piano music is supposed to sound the same! You get a piece of music, it is up to the player to play it to their personality, if it is slower, and has different characteristics, that is what makes it music. If it sounds EXACTLY the same as the Mp3, then why even bother playing it?

@AdamKDean That is a totally different scenario. Playing exactly like an MP3 is not portrayed in terms of speed. It relates to how emotional and dynamically a piece is played. I'm an RCM piano Teacher at the Glen Gould School and you should know very well that such pieces ARE supposed to be played up to the required tempo, regardless of how it's going to sound. Even though you might like this version better, this is not how it should be played.

I do; the music really isn't complicated. The left hand is all octaves and fifths, there's only one line in the right hand, and it's really repetitive. Which doesn't mean it isn't gorgeous, just...simple.
