It's just fun as hell to watch Kobe do this but it's not as impressive as Air Jordan's 63 on Boston in the playoffs. That's like Kobe dropping 63 on the heat witch is not easy to do no matter what LeBron hatters may think. Kobe owned this so called Raptors team.

I just remember going home from work looking on my scores on my phone and seeing 81 pts for Kobe, ofcourse i thought it was a typo...I got home and as soon as SportsCenter started they said "we know its superbowl sunday and we will have coverage of that in just a while, but first we gotta talk about KB8 and one of the greatest feats ever reached by any athlete"...I was simply amazed, you know how big of a moment it was when they put the Superbowl on hold!!

LeBron is no competitor. He left the cavs to play with the best, while Kobe has never left since he wants to play and beat the best. That is the character of a true legend. I hate Kobe as a person, but he is undoubtedly the best in the NBA regardless of whatever peoples poll was taken by ESPN. You can't argue his competitiveness.

in my opinion....kobe's 81 was better than wilt's 100. wilt chamberlain scored almost all of his points in the paint, plus he's about 7 ft tall so that gives him an edge. kobe hit shots from all over the court, including 9 three pointers. come on now

He wasn't even needed in that last minutes of the 4th quarter where they lead by like 10+ points and def wasnt needed near the end when they were up nearly 20 points so if u take those last few minutes off where normally a coach would call the star player out for them to rest kobe would've had approx. 20 points less than he had gotten

But ya it still is impressive but people are getting too hyped over 81 points i mean he didnt make 81 shots, he made a decent # of 3s so that helped him near the end and since he is a decent driver and a great pull up shooter, he drives, get fouled while making his pull up jumpers and so he gets those 3 point opportunities, not to mention his regular foul shots, overall its impressive but not anymore than those 50+60 point games

@KanameKashita You just said because he can drive, because he can hit 3's and because he has a great mid range game and can still make a shot while being fouled that this is some how less impressive???...lol...So because this guy can do whatever he wants whenever he wants its the same a 50 point game guys, take his word for it...lol....There is a reason why we have seen quite a few 50+ games and only other game of 80 or more in the history of the game, don't try and down play the greatness here.
