  • She could easily pass off as a ChinIndian great job!!

  • tis vid lks old the gal shuld be in her late 20s i guess

  • I am Indian myself and this is impressive!

  • c'mon people! She danced the dance of a great nation! Give her the due respect and

encouragement. The world will be better for it.

  • very good effort......everyone must appreciate her

  • wow! she did an excellent job. a very difficult dance to perform. most give up quickly. great job and keep up the good work.

  • yay mixing of India and china:) i know that many of the east Asians think south and southeast Asian customs are kind of flamboyant so i love to see people practicing the dances from all of Asia not just what they are used to. Indian dancing is a very old world thing and is supposed to be extremely difficult so credits to you Angelina!

  • we call those positions doing using the hands as abhinayas... they are perfect.. hats off!

  • Angalina , u are very very graceful and you are absolutely better than many Indians in this. All praises to your from me, an Indian. Long live India and China

  • c'mon this is shit, 10 years of learning?, she dances like a beginner, there's not even a good aramandi...

  • @thedancer22 dude understand che is not an indian and she is doing an indian dance we are suppose to encourage suce ppl not discourage. i think she did good for a non indian. all the best gl.

  • @boseisin Am not indian either (not even asian), but art is art, when it's done with heart and soul, it's beautiful even if it's not perfect. i know a lot of girls want to dance BN, but it's not only a dance, it's an expression of feelings and thoughs, not just a performance on stage, to be cute and nice and that's it.... Dance in general is painfull and relieving at same time...well it's my opinion

  • @thedancer22 i agree with u...

whats everyone seeing in her.. why'd they name the vid -india's TOP dancer?? like seriously..

  • @thedancer22 Easier said than done

  • @thedancer22

    LOL that is cold

  • @thedancer22 if you are an indian then shame on you!, if you are not an indian please STFU, your opinion does not count in either case....because you failed to see what i saw in her dance...as a human being

she tried something remarkable , the effort itself counts. i am pleased to see someone from a different culture trying this dance

    keep up the effort angelina!

  • @AbhishekPanigrahi I'm sorry but i won't say it's good if it isn't. I'm honest that's all, i know a lot of dancers from india and other parts, some are very good some are bad in Bharatanatyam (even indian dancers).

I don't understand why my opinion doesn't count. I mean who are you? The youtube referee?

Am not indian, but i love indian culture which includes classical dance!

  • beautiful,,

  • china was suffered from western Imperialism

we teach them to have tea but they force us to have opium

in the past superpowers came into china to rob us, include as japanese

today we join all nations to against the western hegemony and invasion

    past india same like china

once they known about the british invasion

but today they take advantage from china

by robbing our lands with their previous master mendate the mc mahon line

how can we accept this behavior, do same as the japk

  • Its my Tamil song! she her lips synchronisation

  • how wonderful, may Krishna bless your beautiful soul many times over . where there is love there is God.

  • Shame on us! Look at this girl she has achieved so much where as we keep on fighting on race, religion language etc.... we rather I need to learn so much from you girl.

  • Hey, Its Bharatanateyam... Traditional dance of Tamil Nadu in South India!!!!...... Awesome performance girl...

  • @sriram777rrc dont seperate ourself by sayin SOUTH INDIA or NORTH INDIA, we are INDIANS and its a dance of india and its a traditional dance of a state in india called TAMIL NADU.

    VANDE MATHARAM..

  • That is really cool ! Pretty sweet !

  • Itll be cool to see more of this when india and china are the world leader

  • She rocked it. I'm so proud right now<3

  • Impressed and touched. Hope viewers see the good in this.

  • she is good and does look beautiful very talented

  • This is amazing. Excellent performance ..

This dance is called Bharatnatyam of Tamilnadu origin and many locals find it difficult to learn themselves.

Hats off to Angelina for learning and the interest to dance till you can.

  • im pakistani and i love to see embracing of different cultures!

  • It's nice to know that she likes indian dancing :)

  • oooh soooo cute. Keep it up Angelina! Well done :)

  • Lady Angelina, my compliments, very good, I love it.

  • very nice dance....

  • @Valakai7 - seriously mate... slit eyes piggy nosed, apple size boobs, hipless assless chinky girls generally gives chinky guys a boner, not indians.

    bet again...

  • they talk english also well

    Forget about dance

What about the martial arts ? whrere do you think the chinese got it from

will there be an interview about it ?

  • oh gosh ppl screw you who are looking at her technically. when a different culture embraces yours and respects/loves it enough to perform traditions like dance, we need to feel honored. To hell with your nonsense criticisms, there's so many indian girls who dance, as you technically say, worse than her, yet you wouldn't say nothing about it. Its because of people like you that world peace doesn't exist.

As for you my young lady Angelina, let me marry you so we can share each others cultures!

  • Comment removed

  • India+China forever!

  • You people are being way too critical. I loved it. Great dancing! Keep it up!

  • beautiful, atleast she is putting her 100% thats more important better then the new bollywood girls who can't even act or dance

  • My goodness. In the indian attire she looks 100% indian

  • @PratapDahiya - This girl is really good !

She also passes off for many Assamese, Sikkim , orissa and Arunachal Pradhesh girls!

  • hmmm... It's good to be proud for your efforts...bt dont be annoying dear...she danced really well ..no doubt about that..but do u really think u can be better than indians at performing INDIAN dance?

  • very nice...

  • from singapore?

  • great effort though..

  • sweet

  • the interviewer suks though

  • Once again the Chinese show why they can be better at just about everything...even Indian Dancing!

  • no bollywood is da bomb dude check yaself

  • well not exactly because she is not using her expressions to the song very well and her arms seemed stiff and she rushed so really not all asians can dance in a different style compared to chinese culture

  • u must not knw much about bharathanatyam if anything. lol

  • she's doing rite

    love it

  • U call her the best....No offense for the dancer she is ok....but not the best....sorry please explore youtube more.

  • Very impressive, I enjoyed it. Please don't give up this beautiful art of dancing.

  • its a tamil song and her dancing is really good

  • she has to improve a lot...she is dancing gud though

  • If some one do good stuff why peaple says hats off to you WTF to do with Hats off for doing good stuff?

  • Amazing Well done

  • wow good job !u can teach me and I am an indian!

  • she sucked!

  • a lot of effort goes in this.

  • WOW!!!

  • why im watching this

  • WOW!!! AMAZIN

  • awesome...

  • Beautiful!

  • really nice....keep it up!!

  • She is sounds like she is from Singapore or Malaysia. Given the mix of cultures in those two countries, that makes sense.

  • are you sure angelina's chinese and not nepalese? ;-)

  • The interviewer said "I understand you may be one of the only few Chinese left doing this Indian dance".

  • lovely!!

  • amazing dance angelina hats off to u...

  • wow good job i luv it!!

  • Wow, what an amazing performance!!!!! Its really fantastic....

  • Truely amazing... hats off Angelina....!!

  • Angelina, you did a good job. your rhythmic steps, face expression and lip syncing are too good. I wonder whether you know the meaning of each and every word of the song? this question came to mind because you lacked grace in your dancing. I request you to consider this as an advice since you are a professional dancer

  • she is great!!

  • wow that's really good!!

  • Her tutor should be taken out and shot.

  • very good 5 stars

  • i agreee veryyy good dancing lol i wanna learn the way she did bcz i dont have the face xpression well i start laughing sometimes lol

  • Superb dance with proper face expr'sion.... speechless now what u to say except superb n excl'ent

  • very well performed :)

    u make china proud :)

  • Why should she make China proud? She is from Singapore. In Singapore most people are of Chinese, Malay, or Indian descent. Local-born and raised. =)

I am a half-Chinese Singaporean and I don't associate myself with being from China. =)

Great dancer. I love Indian dance and bollywood etc. hahaha

  • There is a chinese man in Malaysia who dances the baratha natyam very well, very popular in Malaysia. He spent quite a time in India studying the dance under one of the great Indian baratha natyam masters. I think he once danced with his teacher in a performance in Malaysia. Can't remember his name though.

  • @joo67 The two best modern Baratha natyam dancers are Malays from malaysia they are Candrabhanu and RAmli ibrahim. Tamil culture is a part of Malaysia that is why.

  • excellent keep on doing this

  • hats off Anjelina

  • Great! Congratulations.

  • Wonderful performance..keep it up ..all the best wishes and blessings

  • very very nice. her concentration is really appriciatable on indian dance. keep it up

  • shut up...do u guys who r being sour grapes...leave the little girl alone..i think she is doin a wonderful stuff.

  • wonderful !!! great .

  • Most likely Singaporean, and whether or not she is dancing badly or to a movie song is not the issue. There are also Indians who dance badly too. The fact is she is breaking cultural stereotypes and boundaries, which is admirable enough, but she puts her heart and energy into it, so let's applaude her for that!

  • Really admirable. Bharathnatyam is very difficult dance.

  • we love our nothern neighbor

  • hey girl wonderful. keep it up. i am wishing u all the best wholeheartedly. god bless you. u chose nice music too. the singer is bani jayaram very proficient singer.

  • wow! she's so good.

  • The girl's good!

But the interviewer needs more training.

  • good

  • This song is sung in chinese?

  • Thta's not classical bharathnatyam!..She's a bad dancer..& she's dancing to a movie song!

    wonder who trained her!

  • Awesome! It's so difficult that this art is disappearing very quickly. And to believe that this girl from China has done it, up to this level, is really admirable.

  • i would imagine she is from malaysia not china

  • wow , respects to u lady

  • El performance es muy bello, digno de disfrutarse. Simply excellent.

  • nwdays westerners and non indians embracing Indian dance and Indian gals are diverting their tradition, shame on the Indian gals

  • Very beautiful.

  • Awesome. Next time i'm in Hong Kong I will look you up and buy you a samosa!

  • looks nepalese :) good dancer

  • namaste! ma chindain culture! luv it! this is wat i call pure perfection!

  • LOL SHE LOOKS NEPALI AND TAMIL.LMAO!Xd 0_0 SHES A NAMIL (NEPALI=TAMIL) LOL J/K J/K

  • It feels so good to see a bharatha natyam dancer of a different origin. It's way more difficult that it looks.

  • Wow thats so nice!! You go Gurl!!

  • god, she is singing chinese and dance indian.

  • I don't think she's lip-syncing Chinese, I think it's Malayalam.

  • Wonderful performance ... keep it up...

like to see more of it ..

    10-years ... a very long & dedicated

Iam sure you have more to upload ... request you to do it

  • she looks nepalese

    very nice

  • She is trying too hard to find an Indian boyfriend.

  • okay shes good but she still doesnt have the grace of a true indian dancer.

  • true, but she has the grace of an asian. haha, that may not make sense. but i guess since asian cultures are so ancient, their music and dances are like embed in everyday culture. i guess so she understands the value of it. and i'm sure she has her own cultural dances, which demand some sort of technique. i suppose it depends where u come from, you will bring that bit of culture to it.

  • This is amazing hope to see more.

  • great cultural unity of people

  • omg!! you rock! good job!

    kepp on working.

i hope you did not quit...

  • is tat in ta tamil language?.........i like it too when diff asian cultures merge.......is she from china/......coz her english sounds like malaysian or singaporean??

  • wonderful performance... keep it up..

  • Your really good. Great Work :)

  • When this form of art is dying slowly in its place of origin, this girl has lighted a lamp in a distant place and hope she keeps it burning as long as she can...Thkz for this video...

  • strange

  • the cross cultural interaction is most enriching. it is amazing the contentment one can get by crossing over the great divide. dare to cross over the great divide and your life will be even more enriched.

  • why are you denying that you wrote the top part of your obscene comment when it is very obvious that you are responsible for writing such trash. being in grad school does not exonerate you from your obscene comments.

  • very inspiring and encouraging to others as well. you can do so much as a role model. you go angelina.

  • why are all you fuckers saying the same thing be original.

Like that is very special and unique. Keep it up.

  • you obscene response to this cultural enrichment episode should never have been posted. sanitize your mouth and your mind or find something constructive to do with your life.

  • I didn't write the top part. I said I like that so you should take your own advice if you can say nothing nice you know the rest. I'm in Grad school thank you very much

  • Very well done. Keep it up :D

  • ahhh!! That was sooo beautiful, your dance was graceful... keep it up! you have my blessings :)

  • ahhhh! that was soo beautiful. Your dance was so graceful , keep it up, you have my blessings :)

  • Definitely a hearty congratulation to her, for her talent and endurance. This dance is very difficult to learn, because of the miriad of fine details, of the certain positions, most particularly the precise and delicate hand movements and positions.

She could be the perfect cultural good-will ambassador between the two most populous nations in Asia.

  • wow wow ..... thank you my fren. keep it up till u can teach to other. thanks .

  • Excellent !!!!!! Keep it up .
