  • Even if this version was not as good as the first Rastan, it's still a pretty good game with different play mechanics. The music is a step up from the first game though. ;-)

  • 06:38 - 07:02 : hahahahahahahahaha

  • i love the background at 3:39

  • @AlirazaVideoGames I agree.

  • hahahahah 3:49 so dirty. this game SUCKED.

  • I can't believe I wasted so many quarters on this piece of crap.

  • The music and the sound of this game are still unsurpassed, in my opinion. Fantastic! The sound is better than the game!

  • Sometimes when you get an item and nothing happens, it sounds like the computer says "CAN'T DO COREAL" so as a kid I thought your haracters name was Coreal.

  • taringa.net/posts/downloads/8770930/Rastan-Saga-PC-Portable.html

  • dang they messed rastan up in this sequel-straight fag, with a capital fugg.wooord

  • Wow. I had nearly forgot how bad this was compared to the original. I had played it back in the day but while Rastan Saga was a colon-stomping, ass-kicking experience from start to end, this one is a miserable piece of crap with laughable stock enemies and awkward, slow controls. Seriously, even the "hero" walks like he has taken a shit in his chainmail speedo.

  • wow a classic!! i remember playing this and shinobi in this pia shop a long time ago !! yeah im old hahaha

  • O.o Rastan 2...?

  • Even for all of its flaws, I loved this game and have fond memories of it.

  • I think you should preactice well first...

  • I remember playing this game at Celebration Station as a kid and could never remember the name till one day I saw that swamp-thing looking monster on google and found out the name lol. Great game though.

  • sounds like "empty crayon"

  • the first one was so much more fluent

  • Ese video juego me producia miedo en la niñez, pero que chevere recordar viejos tiempo, la voz de la mujer muy sensual, y el sonido de muy alta calidad para esa epoca.

  • what a terrible sequel.i remember i bought it for genesis ahaha.nothing to do with the first Rastan.however, the music is great

  • dude you suck!

level 2 music "the trap" kicks ass!

  • how can i love such a terrible game? haha

  • 0:01 Yes, we do...

    :D

  • I get stuck on level 4. There's some jump that I just can't make. You have to fall into the hole and thats where I get stuck

  • yeah man i know which part you are talking about, i can't pass that either, it annoys me! i always die falling, the stupid platform is not even close to you, i saw this guy passed the stage easily in Part3, i guess i have to try again someday -.-

  • I can't believe Sega let Taito release the Sega Genesis version of this game in the US instead of the incredibly superior Rainbow islands.

  • This game is the poop

  • I don't mind this game. Some of the monster designs are pretty cool. The worst thing about it are the impossible jumps!

  • 1st game is way better...

  • best rastan game ever. far better than the first

  • Are you on glue?

  • yeah, the original lacks a balanced difficulty, this one is perfect

  • bring too xbox live i say

  • never saw rastan 2

  • Looks like it's one of those games where you are killed every so often.I bet trying to find extra energy is very rare.I've got the original Rastan on a compilation games disc. That is just the same, but more addictive...

  • Rastan Saga was an almost perfectly flawless game, Rastan Saga II was a steaming pile of dung. What the hell Taito?

  • i can't believe this game dont belong to the best ever in the video game history and so strange theres no much data about it ( faqs, etc )

  • The game is fantastic and the soundtrack awesome

  • looks completely gay in comparison with the 1st one on arcade. except for the SFX

  • man doesn`t look totally gay. I remember seeing this on the Genesis in 91 and thinking it was cool.

  • im with you my friend this game is pretty good actually my favorite of the megadrive, RASTAN FOR EVER

  • Except that the Genesis version was actually done by Opera House and as such the music in that version was very poor.

  • I can tell it's next to impossible to finish this sucker with just one quarter.

    I don't think it's worth it

  • this has an incredible soundtrack. i wish the game was actually good, but it was just plain awful. I played the game in the arcade just so i could hear the music. The boss music is so good i can't believe it.

  • Awful, Awful game- love the music though.

  • 20 Years and i waths this game again, thanks!!

  • I don't remember this game, but I definitely remember the music.

  • nice music

  • I are so glad of watching this one!, i grow up with this one and remember, when i was run off on money, standing in the machine, just hearing the theme over an over and drawing swordsmen in my school notebooks.

Where i can find a soundtrack of this one? here are chances of rip off the music from the rom?

  • Terrible game, just like the original.

  • The music is awesome! It's perfect for an adventure film!

  • i grew up on this game lol

  • Me too!

  • Oh shit...this game is bad.

  • Wow... nice arcade game, similar but different to Rastan.... great, difficult and very technic... I remember playing it on my childhood.. , yes, nice voices and music

  • The only thing that bothers me about this game is the gameplay--it could have been more polished, but other than that this isn't a bad game--the background music is pretty good and the graphics are not too bad.

  • I love those voice samples, ah memories.

  • From what I've been experienced in the PS2 version of the game, which is part of the Taito Legends 2 compilation the female voice when you insert a quarter into the machine is saying "Yes, we will". And this is comming from the stereo receiver that I plugged the

PS2 into for the audio portion.

  • Since I've made this video, I'm able to one life the first 2 stages now. When I uploaded this I didn't know how to play it very well.

  • LOL yeah, one can tell, the character never made the overhead sword swing or use of the shield =P thanks for uploading the video though. I must've used 2 months of allowances on quarters for this one :D

  • @CecilMcW00t if this game is a mess for you, why you becomed able to reach the second level with just one life, then??

This game is a masterpiece, and a piece of my childhood. I was very fashionated by it since then.

  • This was an arcade game?

  • In part 3, you've pretty much solved the problem I've been having with the game that forbade me from finishing it... the part where you seem to have no space to land on the platform in 3:37 or something. Thanks.

  • I remember me and my little brother would use all our quarters, this game was pretty spooky for its time.. really good music and sound effects!

  • part 1 iz arcade royalty,part 2 is 2 day old shit(hence being number two in the series)but,number three(warriors blade)owns your soul!!!!!!!

  • Not nearly as good as the origonal music.

  • Yeah, this game has it's flaws. But the music is so great, I don't give a fuck.

  • The origanol one was great, this is just sad to se and awful sequil of a great game.

  • Wait... I think the second voice is saying "Enter credit..." with a thick Japanese accent.

  • What are the utterances of the (female?) voice at the beginning of the game? (First one sounds like "Let's begin," the other like "Anti-crown") And I can't read the blue text in the opening dialogue, what's it say?

  • I swear the first utterance is "Yes.. We do!" even though that doesn't make much sense. Anti-crown sounds like what she is saying. I can't really tell though. I can barely read the text on my television because of the bad choice of colors. I will load it up later this evening for you and post it here.

  • That's what I keep thinking! And does this game vaguely remind you of another? If not, then let me give you a hint...

    "WISE FWOM YOUR GWAVE!"

  • I know where that's from; "Altered Beast". Right?

  • BINGO!

  • hahahah wow man! that jump was hard huh?

  • Dude you have no idea! XD The controls really work against you in this game. And his sprite is big and clunky!

  • lol, you fail. bats owns you.

  • hey i played this for sega geniese It was hard.

  • I'm garbage at this game. I've gotten a lot better at it since I made this video though.

  • Honestly, I thought the graphics from the first game were a lot better. What I do seem to like about this game are the certain sound effects. Its been told that the reason why Rastan Saga II was different from the first Rastan game is because it was made by a different video game company; which explains pretty much everything.

  • This game's reputation definitely precedes it, heh. I believe I actually played the coin-op, back in the day. Didn't make it far before losing interest for the SFII CE machine, though.

Interesting to hear OGR's music in a fantasy setting. I think the flashy yet odd mood of Darius suits him better, though.
