I think this song is about how the girl truly loved the man, and the man only THOUGH he loved her, but the truth is, they only just wanted to "satisfy their bodies"
@seanbro33 radical atoms have an unpaired electron and are highly reactive. created when an once stable atom is split apart created two atoms that both have an extra electron. more commonly known as free radicals, they're commonly used in chemical reactions. like the song says, they're very greedy because they don't have the electron needed to stabilize them. just like that something in that couple's relationship needed to fill that void in their hearts.
@OhIThinkNot oh yeah :o now i remember i read that something in a book that says that all people have both negative and positive atoms are equal and stuff and youd feel shocked whenever you touched something...stimuli something when your atoms arent equal...stuff stuff and blur :P
@Girlypixie seriously? the only similarity i see is that both songs are about a couple. in jbf, the guy really loved Luka, but after spending so much time together, he felt he didn't love her anymore. in this pv, the guy's only using her, lying to her, and doesn't love her at all. they're like total opposites.
@KisamierofRuairi I know right? It's just because it's widely known, people have to apply it to like nearly every song with a couple in it when the song has no relation to it whatsoever. e____e; I'm real glad you agree. XD
What is it with so many people thinking that nearly every song with a couple ties in with Just Be Friends? I'm sorry, but this song has nothing to to with JBF. In JBF, Luka and the guy's relationship was much more "pure," and it was genuine. The problem was, they did everything they could and unfortunately didn't see the point of being together anymore. In Radical, the man is manipulating the woman into going to bed with him. JBF is about love growing old.
This song, I think it's one of my favourite Scop songs now. I really enjoy the translation, and the story. The art I have to say I enjoy as well. Thank you so much for the fast subbing.

I still don't know why GJG's (Generic Japanese Guy's) appearance always leads to cries of "OMG, Just be Friends!"
Especially, when JBF and this song are by two different producers.

For me it was something like a couple who felt a certain "attraction", they interpreted as "love", but in reality nothing more than "satisfaction"

I believe this comparision would be called a conceit in literary terms?

Can honestly say this is the first time I've seen "radical atoms" used as an analogy for a relationship
snowyarticuno 7 months ago 66
@snowyarticuno Papiyon used something similar in Love-Atomic Transfer, but otherwise, same here. But in retrospect it seems so obvious!

'Radicals' is a better? Radicals is the literal name for reactive (unstable) ions in chemistry.

@snowyarticuno refresh my memory what are radical atoms again? i forget complicated stuff for about 2 years :P
