  • Hi!!!Trying to revive gals!!

    Nice tune...great playing!!!

    ThanksSemper Fi

    Bernie

    Godspeed!

  • This track got a lot of air-time here. Gosh, girls, you are good.! A fiddle that never stops soaring is bedded on rock-solid guitar back-up and a bass that is grounded like a washtub. Allons à Lafayette!

  • that looks like a nice comfy shoulder rest shes got there

  • how's about gettin' the cowgirl hats and boots on and hit the road....53k hits most are horny ol' men...

  • Where did you find this music? Like it.

  • Very cool. Nice talent...

  • great tune, keep it up

  • my gosh, thats outstandin!!

  • Great playing - I would rather Cajun music without the accordian some times ! But I am a full blooded cajun boy and I can tell these nice young ladies don't belong to my people - they aren't stomping thier feet as the play ! But otherwise a great rendition of the wildest of Cajun songs !

  • j'adore ce genre de musique et en plus vous jouez si bien, c'est un grand plaisir de vous écouter jouer.

  • even though this video is old, still amazing to this day!

  • SOUNDS LIKE HADLEY J CASTILLE?

  • That's Bosco Stomp!

  • This song is actually called "Bosco Stomp." Good job though.

  • @dykwimtmno504 Same tune, alternate name.

  • Great! And 3 hotties to boot!

  • Yeeee!!!!! Haaaa!!!

You girls sure know how to play!

  • Great music, keep it up from Wales UK.

  • Brill!!!

  • Very well done ladies... those picks do have a habit of flying out of your fingers.

  • this is cool! where are you guys from??

  • lol cajun stripper or striper?

  • I wonder if Bluegrass has its roots in Irish folk music. A lot of the music sounds similar.

  • @StephenB58

It has it's roots in "Old Time" which is composed of Irish, Scottish, African/ African American, and a little bit of English.

Old Time fiddle takes after Irish fiddle quite heavily. Main difference is the rhythm and the addition of the blues notes.

  • @StephenB58 im pretty sure it does. people in the appalacians were of irish and scottish decent, so it would have started with jigs and reels then morphed from there

  • You go girls! eyyyy Ha. Love it.

  • great music, could listen to this for hours, thanks for posting.

  • great music, could listen to this for hours, thanks for posting.

    Rock-it Radio

  • marry me katy

  • fantastic!!!Would love to get some music for this?Of course most of the stuff I know I've not got the music for so I would understand if you don't have it lol...will see if I can find it though

    Thanks

  • This song is the Bosco Stomp but if you are familiar with Cajun music you would know that Doug Kershaw wrote the song lyrics to "Cajun Stripper" and used the tune of the Bosco Stomp for the music so it is like some old standard Cajun tunes that have had the lyrics changed then sung and called something else. Look at Jolie Blon how many variations there are of it and many have claimed to have written the song first but no one can prove it.

  • @TheKoolProductions

It was known as Cajun Stripper before then I believe. I have a very old CD of the Hackberry Ramblers and it is known as Cajun Stripper on it. I don't know who or when people started calling Bosco Stomp this, but it's been done for a while.

  • I do enjoy this type of music, the fiddle & Bass mix is great.

    Brilliant.........

  • down where i'm from, that song is called the Bosco Stomp. sounds good tho. :)

  • wow!!!

  • yall are great, but for the cajun stuff...shorten up the bow, and hit it frog side for that extra itchy sound ;)

  • Awesome!

  • Keep on playing gals, cause you are awesome!! I just love to play along with Katy on this one, one of the best sounding fiddle songs I have ever heard. When do you plan on posting new songs?

  • Thats some good stuff, you need to post some more!

  • are yall cajun

  • no.

  • Just got through listening to Creedence Clearwater, the Stanley Brothers, and Bob Dylan. I've decided that you guys are just as good as any of them.

  • wow. haha thanks man, that's a statement right there. completely untrue, but thanks just the same! haha

  • Absolutely fantastic music. Love it.

  • Wow! Entertaining and inspiring!!! What's the best way to go about learning to play freestyle/improv bluegrass? i only know classical and I can't play without a book in front of me.

  • you should get some cd's and try to play along with them, or videos from youtube. also, i think one of the best ways to learn is to go to bluegrass jams, and just listen and watch others, and then jump in and play with them yourself!

  • Great work !

  • Oh, apparently Doug Kershaw took the melody from the Bosco Stomp changed the words and called the song Cajun Stripper. Ok, now I get it.

  • Very Nice... Makes me want to learn the fiddle now.... One question though. How do you transport that big ole bass??

  • Actually the tune is called "The Bosco Stomp" not "Cajun Stripper". Don't know who told you that. But you all did a wonderful job, love the fiddling!

  • Fantastic!

  • Great tune. I had a dear departed friend used to play that on the piano, and she made the whole house rock when she did. Keep up the good playin' ladies. I really enjoyed it.

  • You girls are great.

  • Great stuff! Loved it. Good to see the girls laugh off the small hiccup with the pick!

  • im jealous none of my friends ever want to play bluegrass with me, of course they only speak polish but i dont think thats an excuse

  • no, that is definitely not an excuse.

  • You go ladies....Keep up the great fiddling AND STRUMMIN

  • Stumbled on this by accident, was very impressed! Awesome playing, and she didnt even stop when she dropped her pick..been there, done that.. Well done! LadyJay

  • good sound.

sounds a bit like Norwegian or Finnish folk musikk.

  • my ex bf cheated on me so im gonna get him back!

  • ... what?

  • another highlight...........

  • Great job girls! Nice Blue Grass approach to it. By the way, the real name of that song is Bosco Stomp. Merci beauoup!

  • I love it! Cajun music is the best. We try to play it sometimes, but it's hard to discover new stuff to learn, since we're not Cajun and have no real connections to anyone who plays it.

  • damn that was off the hook!! love you gals!!

  • Merci ladies, MERCI!!!! You have made my day!

    Marie
