a good squig herder can switch out his squigs for the situation, Whilst still Peppering the enemy with arrows, Keeping them at arms distance and Focusing on the Right target (like all moibs), its a very rewarding class when played right

Squig Herders deal good dmg when paired with their squigs, on themselves they don't deals as much as other ranged/melee DPS.

I haven't seen many classes that can casistantly out dps squig herders. Sorcs and Bright Wizards are the only ones that can out DPS us but they have worse survivability. Chosing a good squig for the job is key. Horned gives +10% range, Spiked gives + crit chance, Gas gives armor bonus. Can't speak for other ranged classes but so far I got an AoE Root, Single Target Snare and a Moral KnockBack I can atleast fiend off up close encounters.
