Why on earth couldn't Bosch Make this dryer like there 27 inch US counter part... I mean really? take the sides off just to change the belt Now I know why are store won't sell the mini set's..
I always change these from the back, for a start it's only the L,N and earth from the plug that needs disconnecting and I just find it easier by miles then what this looks like - Everyone has there own way though :)
@Delogros It don't look like going from the back would do any good on this model. How would you deal with the spring? On The 27 inch dryer. the motor is out in the open. In the mini he is working on. It's hidden with a belt running to another pully with a spring.
@DanteFox The spring on the motor? you don't have to move the motor at all, there are 2 ways this would work, either unscrew the back air channel and the bearing and slide the new belt through the gap, a little fiddly at first but whole job takes 15-20 minutes or just take the back panel off entirely which is a little longer - once in position do up bearings and holding screws and slide out motor spring (very easy), fit belt and using long nose pliers refit spring under tension.

No need to remove the door to remove the front, you just waste time.
No need for the pictures either, since all the wiring are coded in such a way you can't put them back in the wrong place.
