Hi Rick. How well does that quick dremel trigger polishing trick work? Is it as good as installing the popular aftermarket trigger, or maybe halfway between stock and aftermarket? Thanks. Love the videos.
It makes the pull lighter (less resistance) and much smoother. It is still way too long. The only way to address that is to drop in a replacement trigger.
Hey Rick im planning on buying a bam b28 based on previous questions ive asked you ...so i would like too know is it worth the extra money for the tunning or do you think its the same thing you do with the molly paste in this vid and i have opened springers before so what do you think??? Thanks Rick
Mike Melick can do a nice job on a tune for you and a B28.. the B28 is a very powerful spriinger.. mistakes can cause injury.. better to let someone like Mike do it.
hi i was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can take a trail np xl piston and put it in the np trail gun if so e-mail me at wadehogge@yahoo.com. also what is the best trigger upgrade for benjamin trail np and cost thank you levi
hi was wondering if you wouldnt mind taking a look at my video to see if you cud help me with my gun the guy i brought it from a few months agao had messed around with the gun including the hammer system when i removed this to paint it come apart would u mind looking please kind regards jay
I don't know when I'll have time to look it.. but you should chat with the guys over at the gatewaytoairguns forum. Someone there will be able to help.
@AirGunWeb im using 7.9 grn crosman premier hollowpoints. Could this also be a problem with me putting wd-40..the guy at walmart says it should protect the reservoir. Thanks
first thing.. don't take airgun advice from the guy at walmart.. your gun is dieseling and you will ruin it putting solvents in the chamber. Follow the RWS Cleaning and maintenance regimen that I posted on the recent Take AIM. That will keep your gun working well.
It is a different trigger mechanism.. but my guess is that there are 3rd party tricks that will help greatly. There are a ton for the 2240 and like pistols.
It all depends on the gun. Some guns do it better than others for sure. Generally speaking, the more you spend on the gun, the better it will shoot and the longer it will shoot accurately. There are "tricks" that you can do to make a less expensive gun shoot better, but once you are done, you might as well have spent the money on the better gun in the beginning.
Very nice. I have been behind on your posts. I need a little help. I have an older Phantom that lost compression. So, since I got it at a steal (it was used), I now want to convert it to a nitro piston. I think that would be a one off rifle. Please help and advise. Also, how do I go about making a compressor like yours or would you mind selling me one?
Thank you.. I'd love to do just that. I do have to weigh the liability issues.. which is what's holding me back right now. I think it is a great design that has handled everything that I've thrown at it so far from these simple gas ram guns to something like the Falcon Hunter with a massive spring. I believe it is a winner.. It is a capital thing.
This is what Take AIM as been growing to for the last 8 months.. My hope is to be able to do this and more.. with much better production quality. I'd like to also be able to bring in guests and manufactures.. It is a big dream.. but maybe one day.
That's why I love having only 6ft/lbs springs in my rifles. Easy to tear apart without the need of a spring compressor and they aren't so hold sensitive. :)
Great video! Made myself a couple air gun disassemble videos but the Beeman R9. Beautiful rifle to work on. But sharp edges, take note! Be careful!
Best video yet Rick! I've been watching ever since you reviewed the discovery and for some reason this just seemed to flow better, sounded more natural. My NPSS will be needing this soon. I'll probably go ahead and do metal bushings and a piston seal while I'm at it. Luckily I got a good one and I don't need to deburr the piston.
If all goes well.. I'll be taking orders for my compressors. I need to know how many I can reasonably build per month before I start taking people's money for them.. It works REALLY well and has handled every gun that I've mounted to it so far. This is V2 of the compressor, I've got plans for some more designs as well.
@AirGunWeb You know what, last time I rebuilt my GAMO CFX, I put the gun at the coner, and then put a table on the gun and sit my entire body on the table. finally I got close the damn tube. With a compressor it will be a lot more easier and safe!

What pellets are you using? If you are using the lightweight lead free pellets, switch to lead pellets.
