@CaptnColey The Army is upgrading their M4s to basicly M4A1s (Heavier barrel, full-auto.) and giving them piston operating upper recievers. Making them deal with dirt and dust better. This is what the SCAR-L/H has in their upper recievers. The piston upper receivers cut down on the jams by about 90%. The Army is also upgrading their magazines, about 5% of jams are magazine related.

One, is that the magazines it uses has about half the capacity of most modern magazines.
Second, is that 9mm is not as an effective round as many modern assault rifles tend to use, it's a handgun round that, even in the Beretta M9, a modern 9MM pistol, is not as effective compared to the M1911's .45 rounds.
Thirdly, is that it may not have much room for modern attachments, due to lack of railing and otherwise.

listened to this right before track practice (i know its out of place but i love listenin to these to pump me up "im 14") and when i got back my dad wanted me to go to the hospital cuz my legs were hurtin and he made me go even tho i didnt want to cuz i could run through the pain, and the doctor made me stop runnin and quit track cuz supposidly i ran TO MUCH....wow these songs reallly do work :P

When they told me to run around my school with this cadence, i was dying, i'm not fat, skinny but then i still can't handle it. Anyone know how to control ur breathe and chanting cadence at the same time?
@MrCrapVideos When you sing cadence notice something about ti thats more significant than just singing it. You are breathing out when you talk and during the breaks when the DI is singing that is when you breath in. In other words in through your nose out through your mouth. Thats all cadence is doing for you is teaching you the proper way to breathe. So next time when you do cadence don't forget to breathe in during the breaks and when its your turn to sing the cadence does the rest for you.

because when they get to ranger school and find out what it's all about they can't handle it... you have to be mentally stronger than anything in order to pass ranger school. if you really want that ranger tab then you'll get it but if your just going in there expecting to work just a little bit then you have another thing coming. REMEMBER, RANGER is elite infantry, that tab isn't just another tab once you get it your part of the most elite brotherhood the world has ever known

Love it! Reminds me of AIT at FT McClellan, Alabama in spring/summer of '91. Only thing wrong is that it came to an end. Thank you for this upload because it brings back the best memories of my life and we didn't have cameras and audio devices back then like we have now. This has motivated me to run again. Back before I joined the Army, I bought the Army SF/Ranger "Tape" for my Walkman to run with. I was one of 2 guys in my Basic (OSUT Combat Engineer) that automatically filled in the off cadence highlights, as well we both set the curve & correctly spoke the parts in the beginning of Basic till everyone got them right. One of our Drills even put us in different parts of the formation so everyone would hear & catch on. Not so fun on a morning run at 0330 1st week of basic, by the 3rd week yes!
@operationfreebeer I bought my tape back in the late 90s from a real Army Navy store. I have it ripped into one of my HDs. You should be able to yahoo it or even limewire it. Its a great recording, if you listen close you can hear some of the guys making suggestive overlays. Like one is a rip off Yellow Ribbon, its "Around her Hip she wore a 45." the one with "Around the world she flew the B1 Bomber you can here some saying "she blew the B1 Bomber". One side is march the other was running.

@USBOWEN. CORRECT!! Because my brother is a U.S. Marine and I'm an Army MP, SRT Trained. Your Marine CO needs to know you have all Marine requirements, and are fit enough to pass Army courses before you can even have a cupcake chance of a teary eyed dream in a puke ridden night to even breathe on the seat for Ranger school in your Marine CO's office. They only send TOP level Marines to Ranger school, and once you pass it goes on your military records and you look good for USMC Force Recon.
@USBOWEN. Keep in mind that many Marines, Sailors and Airmen come to get Ranger school on their records and fail. So Ranger up if you think you can, but I would walk into a Marine CO's office requesting to even have a discussion at Ranger school unless you are in the top 5% of Marines AND you've read the courses AND requirements you need before you even go through the advanced courses in the Army BEFORE you even get to think about Ranger school. Rangers are Special Ops... never forget that.
@USBOWEN. Of Course, because pass rate at Ranger School is in the high 20 percentile most of the time. USMC, is mid to high 80 percentile. Me and my circle of friends are comprised of Marines and Soldiers. Highly trained Marines, who must meet specific courses in both USMC and ARMY, then attend Ranger School, still over half of them fail. US ARMY RANGERS are Special Operations and go on Missions with Navy Seals on orders from SOCOM.
@InfantryChans91 You bet...The "shuffle" pace is designed to get out blood pumping before we stretch it out for longer runs. Over the years, it just became common to go at this pace for longer distances. It helped slower runners keep up and was also benificial for faster runners to build strengthening in the legs. Because it's an off technique that restricts the natural stride of a normal run, it puts medial amounts of strees on the muscles around the shins and ankles.
@InfantryChans91 That added stress causes pain and discomfort in the lower legs, and because it's not actual muscle contraction that causes the pain, it lingers and gets worse the longer you run. So that's how the slow "shuffle" pace we rangers do sometimes can be harder than a traditional jog.
@coolnamug357 That's actually pretty cool, am I right in assuming though that this is just a form of training and isn't part of the Fitness Test. It's very different over here.
If you have yet to serve in the ARMY, you have not earned the right to say HOOAH!!! Love it! Reminds me of AIT at FT McClellan, Alabama in spring/summer of '91. Only thing wrong is that it came to an end. Thank you for this upload because it brings back the best memories of my life and we didn't have cameras and audio devices back then like we have now. This has motivated me to run again. And I thank you for that as well! =)

Back before I joined the Army, I bought the Army SF/Ranger "Tape" for my Walkman to run with. I was one of 2 guys in my Basic (OSUT Combat Engineer) that automatically filled in the off cadence highlights, as well we both set the curve & correctly spoke the parts in the beginning of Basic till everyone got them right. One of our Drills even put us in different parts of the formation so everyone would hear & catch on. Not so fun on a morning run at 0330 1st week of basic, by the 3rd week yes!

@operationfreebeer I bought my tape back in the late 90s from a real Army Navy store. I have it ripped into one of my HDs. You should be able to yahoo it or even limewire it. Its a great recording, if you listen close you can hear some of the guys making suggestive overlays. Like one is a rip off Yellow Ribbon, its "Around her Hip she wore a 45." the one with "Around the world she flew the B1 Bomber you can here some saying "she blew the B1 Bomber". One side is march the other was running.

@operationfreebeer Honest if your going in the MiLL it's not bad to know, as the Army revolves around Combat Multipliers as in they look for people who up skill & those who stand out. Show your not some college NoGo "National Guard" that joined for the money. By the way the file is way too big for me to email as I recorded both sides as 2 tracks, if you can figure out how we can do this I will send it to you!

Spent alot of time at Harmony church, and gettin sideways on the jump towers at sandhill gets your mind off those 25 mile forced marches. Makes an old Spec4 like myself wish for younger days. The only battles i am doing these days is with crooked politicians in Henry County. Ky Yhey have no idea what they are messin with... FOLLOW ME.... All the way Sir!

@USBOWEN. CORRECT!! Because my brother is a U.S. Marine and I'm an Army MP, SRT Trained. Your Marine CO needs to know you have all Marine requirements, and are fit enough to pass Army courses before you can even have a cupcake chance of a teary eyed dream in a puke ridden night to even breathe on the seat for Ranger school in your Marine CO's office. They only send TOP level Marines to Ranger school, and once you pass it goes on your military records and you look good for USMC Force Recon.

@USBOWEN. Keep in mind that many Marines, Sailors and Airmen come to get Ranger school on their records and fail. So Ranger up if you think you can, but I would walk into a Marine CO's office requesting to even have a discussion at Ranger school unless you are in the top 5% of Marines AND you've read the courses AND requirements you need before you even go through the advanced courses in the Army BEFORE you even get to think about Ranger school. Rangers are Special Ops... never forget that.

@USBOWEN. Of Course, because pass rate at Ranger School is in the high 20 percentile most of the time. USMC, is mid to high 80 percentile. Me and my circle of friends are comprised of Marines and Soldiers. Highly trained Marines, who must meet specific courses in both USMC and ARMY, then attend Ranger School, still over half of them fail. US ARMY RANGERS are Special Operations and go on Missions with Navy Seals on orders from SOCOM.

@InfantryChans91 You bet...The "shuffle" pace is designed to get out blood pumping before we stretch it out for longer runs. Over the years, it just became common to go at this pace for longer distances. It helped slower runners keep up and was also benificial for faster runners to build strengthening in the legs. Because it's an off technique that restricts the natural stride of a normal run, it puts medial amounts of strees on the muscles around the shins and ankles.

@InfantryChans91 That added stress causes pain and discomfort in the lower legs, and because it's not actual muscle contraction that causes the pain, it lingers and gets worse the longer you run. So that's how the slow "shuffle" pace we rangers do sometimes can be harder than a traditional jog.

If you have yet to serve in the ARMY, you have not earned the right to say HOOAH!!! As well you obviously don't have the self disepline to understand that, and will never make it through RIP or RANGER school in my opinon. If you do I will personally come to your graduation and pin the tab on you myself.
