I'm seeing them for Steve....love Jon but...I want to watch him play guitar...and actually at Penn's Peak I'll be REAL CLOSE.....not arguing but....man I'm going to see one of the greatest guitarists EVER up close and personal....love Penn's Peak!!....
i agree, amazing stuff oliver, i literally just got in from seeing in edinburgh at usher hall and was AWESOME. But what more can you expect from a wakeman.
Excuse me ClitDoris.I was replying to someone else's negative comments about the band & stating the obvious...dont know how you figure that I'm ill-informed???? I'm going 2c Yes in 3 weeks & I'll be gutted not to c Jon but its better than nothing..and for your information I have been keeping up to date with comments made by Yes & Jon over this whole situation within the last year or so but I'm not gonna come on here & bash one particular party & slag off HSW for getting on with things
nobody is a traitor and nobody has stabbed nobody in the back!!!! Jon wasnt well enough to tour so they got on the road without him. Sad, yes but a Yes with Benoit is better than no Yes at all and who knows whats gonna happen next in the Yes chapter????? Nothing suprises me anymore with this band, full of twists and turns.......
Agree with you pal !!!! (johnfearon), besides, although I am a hard core Yes fan, I must admit that Anderson has stalled the band from evolving, he transformed Yes (in the last two albums) in a soft more oriented new age band..if you compared with Squire-Sherwood's work or Sherwood's work alone which is great !! and shold be the path Yes have taken. Benoit made a good job !!
Jon's return when he can, Tom Brislin on keyboards, an invested talented drummer, and a real sound man, and YES would be killer again. I saw YES in Jamestown NY along with 20+ other times...
The German word "wurm", after which this song was titled, has various connotations / meanings.
However, given the manner in which Steve Howe (who composed Wurm) has betrayed Jon Anderson (the man who brought Howe into YES), it is most fitting that Howe should henceforth be associated with the literal English translation of the German word Wurm, which just happens to be WORM!
Shame on you, Steve Howe!
Your behaviour towards Jon Anderson has revealed you to be a DESPICABLE WORM!
ClitDoris, I agree that I don't think they should've gone on tour w/o Jon; at the least, I have very ambivalent feelings about it. However, why do you blame Steve only? Chris has been in the band for longer than Steve has and Alan has been with them for 36 years. If I were to accuse Steve of treason, I'd have to add Alan and Chris. I wonder what Jon thinks about them going on tour for the 40th?
In quite a few of those interviews, for example, Howe has, in one breath, disparaged and belittled Anderson's contributions to Yes. Yet, in the next breath, he has gone on to explain how, upon seeing and hearing Benoit David, he and Squire were "blown-away" by the realisation that, as Benoit looks and sounds so much like Anderson, they could use him to replace Anderson (rather than waiting for Anderson to recover from his illness), and thus immediately proceed to go on tour to earn more MONEY!
You've misconstrued the intent behind my comments regarding Steve Howe. Indeed, if you were to read them [carefully!], you'd realise that, rather than intending to assign blame to Howe, my intent is simply to observe the fact that he is a CUNT! But don't my take word for it; just read or listen to the many interviews that Steve has given throughout the past year, in which he has sought to justify the decision (taken my him and Squire) to replace Jon Anderson with a Karaoke singer.
going to their show this evening. It is squire and howe and white (original members) oliver wakeman in for his dad and Vocalist from a Yes tribute band
Is that Howe and Squire up front? Who is on keys and drums? Just trying to figure out if I wanna go to the show in 5 days. Is Howe going to be pulling a double shift?
Ollie's got chops but he needs to work a bit more on his phrasing :) (think like a horn player, let the line breathe, Ollie)

Oi, johnfearon...at a minimum, your comment reveals you to be an ill-informed ignoramus; at worst, it reveals you to be a hideous sycophant.
