Wirklich eine der besten Szenen, die je für einen Western gedreht wurden: Fonda und Hill auf dem Friedhof, Stille, das Donnern von Hufen, Hill rennt los, springt auf die Friedhofsmauer, und da kommt sie, die Wilde Horde, 150, die reiten und schießen, als wären es Tausend, wie ein Sturmwind, begleitet von den epischen, schicksalhaften Klängen aus Morricones Feder. Wirklich ganz großes Kino. Wenn sich diese Floskel auch schon langsam abnutzt, in diesem Fall trifft sie voll und ganz zu.

Call me tasteless and stupid, but I wish Morricone hadn't used the "Flight of the Valkyries" bit in this song. The gritty male vocals, the hyena call, and the whistled tune were more than enough as they were.
