  • @Megahammerheadshark yes they do on a ton of railways

  • @Megahammerheadshark Is that why there are openings on both ends of the tubes?

  • What about the third rail!?

  • The old CTA signals were really something, combined every rare signal manufacturer into one mast and you have every crossing on the yellow and blue line.

  • last guy: EXACTLY (just not orange). The video desc. is so wrong. Also, we won't see this for too much longer as the CTA wants a station right at Oakton on the Yellow Line.

  • How do they make it so that you cant get electrocuted when crossing that crossing

  • The third rail ends before the crossing and starts again after.

  • @CrazyAboutA380s like it would be in the middle of the street lmao.

  • @Flamingchickenvideos the third rail begins and ends before and after the crossing

  • @Amtrak1194 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the 3rd rail is in the middle of the crossing... cars have to drive over it

  • @TEMPLE7D dude i live right there the 3rd rail cuts out so people and their cars dont get electrocuted

  • @Amtrak1194 lmaoo i know i was onlk kidding

  • @Amtrak1194 Yes the secret is to make the train long enough so that one pad stays in contact with the third rail or all times - that or they coast across

  • It deosn't go elevated you took a shot of the skokie swift which crosses over oakton ave. and then continues @ ground level until the howard rapid transit facility where there are transfer tracks to the red, purple, and possibly orange line however im not sure.
