  • shit i want a doughnut now...

  • Wow that really surprised me when the grandma yelled at them like that. I thought she was nice but now I'm worried for them again that she's going to be a psycho.

  • harsh realities of life!!!!!!

  • I'm so pissed at Rose for telling Gracie "she should've kept her mouth shut". It wasn't even Gracie's fault! She defended herself against her mother's perverse boyfriend and because he hit her, the English teacher reported it. Rose is a b*tch.

  • God, its so SICK how they just separate siblings. I mean, they're all they've had their whole lives!!! Without them, they have NOTHING. How the hell can they just separate siblings like that and expect them to just be all "okay, I'll leave my brother/sister behind even though they're all I've had my whole life and have relied on and who rely on me." And even then when in that system, they get separated even MORE with strangers!!!! What kind of sick world IS this!??!?!

  • poor kids and kittens :(

  • My granny raised her two brothers. Both parents were dead by the time she was 16. The two boys werebout 10 to 13. So she raised them. it was just after the war. I don't think the social would have given a hoot. She had no choice really. They turned out fine. I've never met them. They have had 0 contact for 50 odd years. she doesn't even know their children's names. it's weird.

  • I cried when I saw this part:,(

  • they r treating the girls like they did wrong which it was their mother they should punish the girls and put them in a teen jail becuz thats wat it is

  • @LeeLee198820

They are not punishing them. They have no where else to put them. That's what happens sometimes.

  • The guy in the beginning at 1:31 played a social worker in a movie called Homeless to Harvard, does anybody know what his name is?? I've seen him in other stuff but i don't know who he is.

  • why do child services think its a good idea to split up siblings??

  • I would have fucked those girls up if they were fuckin with me

  • I thought it was against the law for minors to be treated like that

  • i would beat the shit out of those other girls

  • theyre so mean!!

  • First the dog is left alone and now the kittens :(

  • i am so hurt by seeing this.

when i was young the same happend to me and my brothers and sisters.

the rest of my life it still haunts me ... i am watching in tears of anger and sarrow.

they dont know what they are doing to them childeren .. that aint helping them kids, they should stay together... fuck the system !!

  • What is that jail looking place called? I know it's not a group home or foster?

  • I hate how the system always separates the children without explanation.

  • i slept with my mom after watching this lol I love my mommy and appreciate her SOOO much more after this

  • when i saw this movie tht im going to be a awesome dad and my mom sy gd luck when they go threw thier teenage years. and i cant wait to have kids i got 2 years til im 18

  • @garyallenbeasley2345 haha me to. im turning 17 in october. and i cant wait until i have kids of my own. its my life long dream to have a baby. :)

  • if someone was trying to separte me and my brothers away from me ill punch the dude

  • i saw most of this movie already idk if this is the prt so i dont wanna be a spoiler alert so yeah this movie gets better and sadder

  • omg, that is the badest mom i have ever seen, those kids deserve better!

  • those kids are treated like criminals

  • Grandma seems uber religious, and what's wrong with the youngest boy? he says the oddest things.

  • "I won't bite em!"

  • i am sooo happy they sent the mother to jail and that little bitch that kept harrasing them got what she deserved

  • Grandma, though generous should have a little compassion.

  • I went threw something similiar to this but lukily i had my 21 year old sister to take me and my other sister in before cps took us away i am 14 years old and i dont know were my mother is

  • I really hate how the split up the kids. Like seriously? They didn't do anything wrong.

  • i dont get why police are chasing them?

  • Gracie is da mom/siste taking care ofall three

  • I hate the way they treat kids, they're the victims dammit! And some parents shouldn't be allowed to have kids. The mother is right where she should be, in jail.

  • How could those jerks just separate Gracie and her siblings like that? :(

  • @origamipein18 That is the way the system works I guess.

  • @orlandobabe F***in' system.

  • @origamipein18 I know what you mean.

  • @orlandobabe : )

  • Their Grand mom old fashion But Gracie 's little brothers love her and Rosie too death they are a stick together type of family :)

  • ''Yall lOok like a bunch of animals''. "I WONT BITE THEM'' LOL

  • @RusconiDom LOL. Maybe if people would stop replying to me I would.

  • It absolutely SICKENS me how they just separate siblings like that. Its bad enough they dont have a real mom/dad let alone being separated from their brothers/sisters who they've only had all their lives. How can they just DO something like that?!?!? Don't they even stop to THINK "Whoa, what is the separation going to do to the kid who has leaned onto their brother/sister since they were little?" That without them, the kid is going to be completely lost and alone? DISGUSTING!!!!!

  • I love this movie, but it makes me feel like such a bitch, these kids have it waaaay worse than I do....

  • dang ..they sis and bros why cant they sleep together wtf lol

  • @kekenew09 Agree with you. Its not like they were DOING anything besides just plain sleeping. Especially after what they'd been through the least they could do was have one good night sleep as a family right?

  • I don't knoe hoe many times I watched this movie and I never realized that gracies is Kristen bell.

This movie is a lot how my life has been. But my mom never let that stuff happen 2 me and silbings.

  • This makes me cry because my best friend went through this similar stuff. I just feel so bad for him. I can't even imagine. :(

  • where are they? like what place where they sent to ?

  • OH My gosh this is heart breaking

  • @auroratruesdale

    whats the true storys name??

  • Why does the grandmother act like it's not okay for Gracie and Rose to allow their brothers stay with them the first night at her house, I will never know. They just don't want to be alone (especially when they were pretty tramautized after their mother was arrested and the children being separated from each other).

  • @starrbeatlesqueen it's because she's a really religious woman, she said boys don't sleep with girls, which may seem like she's exagerating a bit.

  • @starrbeatlesqueen Because religious people have perverted minds. They're constantly thinking about sex.

  • @SkullOfYorick ikr thats funny they have sex b4 marriage more then any other ppl but then tell us not to its funny

  • @starrbeatlesqueen her gradnmother thinks boys and girls cant sleep in the same bed im like wtf its not like they r gonna do anything for 1 they r family like damn who cares if 3 r boys and 2 r girls.

  • @LeeLee198820

Well actually. apparently lots of people have sexual experiments with their siblings. But more like, the same age group. like a boy and girl, or two boys close in age. not like sex, or anything. But touching. I know it's gross. and no one really admits to it. But it happens.

I was shocked to see how common it is, they did studies on it. I don't have a brother. nor male cousins.

  • @LeeLee198820

Also. when I was 13....My 13 year old friend tried to have sex with another friend's 10 year old brother at a sleep over.

But these guys are family. And Gracie isn't a pervert.

  • Their grandma is a bitch.

  • 143 CAN ALSO MEAN I HATE YOU

  • What does the mom mean when she says 1 4 3

    I don't get it

  • @xXXxTaylorLfanxXXx 1 4 3 is like a short way of saying I love you I=1 love =4 and you =3

  • i started crying right now from the scene where they split up the kids and she is chasing after the car :(

  • why are the children being treated like criminals ?

  • this is so heartbreaking and alot of kids go through this shit everyday...terrible

  • Comment removed

  • @MissSophisticated17 are you being serious u nerd.

  • @MissSophisticated17 fuck off . i was crying .

  • @MissSophisticated17 she's the better than the virgin mary compared to the mother in this movie

  • Comment removed

  • has anyone read the true story on which this movie was based on?

  • Its so SAD how the mom depends on Gracie to be the mother .

  • veronica mars !!!!!!!!

  • are are kids being treated like criminals? seriously?? shouldn't they be put in a foster care or orphange or something? is this movie even accurate?

  • @xoxoKMAxoxo It's accurate. Foster care and orphanages are not especially kind either. Because Gracie and Rose aren't even orphans they aren't sent to foster care or an orphanage.

  • @auroratruesdale well damn the whole world is just fucking messed isn't it?

  • ... I want a kitty... ;_;

  • Gracy is lvery oved by her siblings.I like that

  • i love how the grandmother yells at them for sleeping in the same bed together.

"BOYS DO NOT STAY IN BED WITH GIRLS."

    "we're siblings???"

  • haha 9:09 To 9:26 is the funniest part

  • this STORY and not movies or actors BUT THIS STORY is really sad too me except for that slutty ass bitch mom ( NOT THE ACTOR ) but the mom !!!!!

  • The way the girls were treated in that facility , isn't that illegal????!!

  • This movie is making me cry. It is so sad how the hell can the mom believe her bf and not her daughter and how can they seperate the kids. its sooo sad.

  • Mom wants to have fun !! Honey, you should of thought about that before you opened your legs, FUN IS OVER unless, of course, you're having " Fun " with your kids.

  • The Grandma could see how hungry the kids were and must have known what her daughter was like, if she was really following the bible she'd have done more but she just spoke of getting them a place away from her, and carrying on with her stupid bible study. Actions speak louder than words

  • Comment removed

  • mom's got 5 kids and she excpetcs to go and have fun?

  • WHAT A TERRIBLE MOTHER!!!!

  • :'(

  • @missRunning she's 17.

  • seems to me that the daughter is taking care of the mom

  • The Grandma's cool except she's a conservative christian and a bit too conservative.

It's cool though She's ALOT better than the mother.

  • The system has a long way to go, but thank God for the foster parents and whoever else out there who actually want to help the kids that are stuck in these situations.

  • I was brought to tears during the scene when they're all separated. It was so heartwrenching! Damn Lifetime!

  • I felt really awful when Gracie and Rose scream the police after they separate their brothers. It was also really sad when the girls are forced away from each other at the youth facility.

Gracie's teacher had to ask her to say what was going on after he sees her coming to school with cuts on the side of her face. A student who is suspected of enduring any type violence is a school authority's obligation to report it so they can keep them safe from further harm.

  • the grandmother saves the dayyy!!!!!!!! ^_^

  • That is EXACTLY what our beloved country is famous for destroying and breaking apart families. WHY couldn't the children stay together? System is set to destroy not heal or help. The girls were treated like criminals.

  • "Look who's talking?"

Oh thank God someone said something.

  • Is there supposed to be signififcance in Gracie's necklace? I don't think anything is mentioned in the movie but since it is based on a true story, I wonder if the idea was taken from the real-life Gracie.

  • I remember the first time I saw this part I was screaming at the tv "GO FOT THE GUYS NUTS!! FIGHT HIM!!!!!!!!!!" But of course that didn't happen. Gawd that mom was a crazy! But at the same time I know that drugs bring out the worst in people and change them at the same time. Its not completely the moms fault but at the same time it is because at any point she could have stood up and said "This is wrong." But she didn't.

  • The part when they separate the kids makes me cry every time...... And then the selfish mom in the background makin everything that much worse by telling Gracie to do something, as if it were HER fault... The social workers didn't do anything wrong, they were jus doin their jobs n prob figured they'd better get the kids th heck outa there for safety's sake since they prob didn't know the full extent of the situation, altho they coulda tried being more soothing n reassuring sumhow..

  • She;s such a bitch to gracie and then she calls onto her for help.

  • i wish i still had my cat.. i dont know where he is :(

  • Cops make everything worst. dey say dey gunna help, but dey dnt give shit.

The moms a bitch she's ruining the kid's life.

  • I cried, I seriosly CRIED! This ain't something to mess with!

  • those people back there just watching i would have joined in and helped

  • why did they have to separate them? that seems so inhumane

  • Unfortunately thats how the systems work..The kids are ripped away and placed in facilities or foster care with people who could care less about them. They're treated like scum of the earth because of who their parents are. Animals in shelters get treated better.

  • @hacksaw555

yeah , America is suuucchh a great place isnt it??! LOL pitiful shitty country with shitty , uncultured people

  • the kids have gon thru enough y would they give them trouble n split them up, they are supposed to be helping them, not hurting them more :(

  • @speedysportsplayer agreed, and since when do kids get sent to military school or juvenile or wherever they were taken just because their mom screwed up??. wtf.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl i know dont they think they havve been thru enough.... the worse part is this is a true story... n Gracie has a twin/ it was her her twin her little sister n her three brothers

  • I love this show. Since it is a true story it does capture addiction so well. People with cancer is not blamed for haveing cancer and addicts shouldnt be blamed for being addicts that means that there are certain chemicals missing from the brain once they have the the first drink/drug they are unable to stop. Its how much people look down at them is why it is so hard to begin to get help and fellowship to find out they are not alone. Look your alon meeting and attend you will learn.

  • @ladd1975 Uhh,are you STUPID? Comparing cancer to alcoholism.!! It's not anyone's CHOICE to get cancer so of COURSE no-one can be blamed for having cancer. When you pick up your first alcoholic drink,or do cocaine or something for the first time it's YOUR DAMN CHOICE....you know the possible consequences,so of course addicts are looked down upon because at the end of the day IT WAS THEIR CHOICE TO TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Listen. It's no one's choice to become an alcoholic either. Lots of people drink and never become alcoholics, in fact lots of people do drugs and never become drug addicts. Addiction is a disease, it doesn't happen to everyone, so educate yourself before you start slamming people with addiction. Yes, they may have made the choice to drink their first sip of booze or puff their first toke of drugs. People smoke cigarettes and get lung cancer, people tan and get skin cancer..

  • @lydianna Yeah, but it was THEIR choice to try it in the first place. Addiction isn't a disease. Addiction is deciding to try something and woops, they get addicted...their fault. The only addiction that isn't people's fault is food, because you have to eat to survive, but that's not even a disease.People nowadays want to label EVERYTHING a disease,it's crazy. And yes,but who's choice was it to smoke or tan??LOL.There are PLENTY of different types of cancer to where it was no-ones fault. The end.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Yes, it was their choice to TRY it, not to get addicted. And why group all addictions into a "non-disease" classification and yet food addiction is not included? That doesn't even make sense. People can die from eating too much food, have you heard of the obesity rate in America? You need to educate yourself before you make comments like these, addiction actually clinically classified as a disease. It's not the drug that makes you an addict, it's the imbalance in your brain

  • @lydianna What?I said being addicted to food isn't a disease either,I said it's not people's FAULT because we all have to TRY food and eat it to survive, unlike drugs and alcohol where it IS a choice. And as someone living with an eating disorder since I was 4 I'm pretty DAMN sure I'm more educated when it comes to this than you are.Addiction is not a disease, you can claim it to be one,but that's your opinion, just like some people think hoarding is a disease as well.Ridiculous. Agree to disagree.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Try googling it and then tell me it's just "my opinion" and telling me you're more "educated" than I am when it comes to disease of the brain. I've had an eating disorder for 4 years, so you're not alone, an eating disorder is a disease as well. You said addiction to drugs and alcohol isn't a disease, which would mean that food addiction isn't a disease either, based on your poorly executed point. Addiction, drugs/alcohol/food, is the same problem with a different stimulant

  • @lydianna An eating disorder isn't a disease! My gosh it's a disorder,it says it in the name.LOL.Your twisting my words to make it look like a "poorly executed point".And I don't need to google anything at all,I've watched enough interventions and seen enough of my aunts and uncles that are drug addicts and still my opinion remains the same,it's not a disease. As I said before,we can agree to disagree because clearly this is just a waste of time, and both of us won't be changing our mind. The end.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Your "poorly executed point" is an observation of mine, not a statement to twist your words. The "disorder" is a disease that manifests in the brain. Have you even researched anything you are talking about? Try watching a documentary on addiction and eating disorders, they are classified as addictions AND diseases. They just have different stimuli. It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing, it's a matter of you being wrong.

  • @lydianna Oh my gosh! You did twist my words, and an eating disorder is not a damn disease. You can stop telling me what to watch,in MY opinion addiction is not a disease and I'm not going to keep replying because it's a waste of time and nothing is going to change. There are plenty of doctors who agree with me and think addiction isn't a disease and will actually laugh if you tell them you think it is,so no,it is not a "matter of me being wrong" because everyone has their own view on it. BYE now.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Ok, have fun with your group of doctors that agree with you, they would never laugh at me, it's in the psychology "bible", which is called the DSM, the NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) also states that "addiction is a neurological disease based on the genetic makeup and an individual's environment that result in an abnormal state of physiology". I honestly hope you get through your disease and overcome your eating disorder, good luck with everything.

  • @lydianna I don't have a disease,thanks anyway.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Alcoholism is a disease. Genes have been identiified that increase susceptibility.

  • @loner1878 Alcoholism is not a disease. There are still plenty of doctors and therapists out there that do not believe it's a disease. The tv show South Park even made fun of people that call it a disease,so I am not the only one who thinks this. I also just had this discussion with someone else and I do not intend on having it again, goodbye.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

And there are many doctors that do say its disease. LOL, are you trying to argue taking South Park seriously? Wow...that should say plenty about you.

  • @loner1878 LOL. You think I take south park seriously? A show on COMEDY central??. I was stating that clearly the writers also agree with me that it's so fucking dumb to call alcoholism a disease and that it's a big joke. EVERYONE has a different opinion on it and mine will not change. BYE now.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

You're the one that used it as an argument point, lol. Be more careful next time or expect to get called out on it. I find South Park funny but I don't buy it as gospel. And let me point out in that episode they were making fun of A.A as being a cult that convinced Randy he was an alcoholic when he wasn't. That and the Virgin Mary statue having a period.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I'll stick to listening to people who actually know what they're talking about.

  • @loner1878 The point of the show was to show how stupid it is to call alcoholism a disease.Randy was not an alcoholic, you're right, that's the point.I brought up South Park because of the writers,it's not my fault you couldn't understand my comment that clearly said,"I'm not the only one who thinks this." Seems pretty clear to me.And I actually know plenty well what I am talking about, people don't want to face the hard truth so they'd rather write off alcoholism as a disease, well I don't buy it.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

I come from a family with a large number of alcoholics, including my own father. I've been warned repeatedly by doctors that I am more than likely genetically predisposed to become one if I'm not careful with drinking. Some people are born predisposed to addictive behaviors. While not everyone has that case, it doesn't mean there's a one size fits all yes-or-no answer.

Well not everyone thinks HIV causes AIDS. Don't buy dissent as a validation.

  • @loner1878 People can say genetics this and genetics that, but you know what,if you never ever take one sip of alcohol you will never ever have to even worry about becoming an alcoholic,so that disproves the disease theory right there.Someone can have the most screwed up genetics ever, but it is their choice to try alcohol to begin with, that is the only way to get addicted, and it is all on them.I believe just like many other people that alcoholism doesn't fit into the disease category, that's all.

  • @XPrettyXSceneXGirl

Even if I never take a sip of alcohol the genes are still there and can be passed on to a next generation. Might not want to try and claim what "disproves the disease theory" when you clearly have zero knowlege of genetics or biological influences. What you believe is one thing, reality is another. The American Medical Association (AMA) classifies alcoholism as a chronic disease.

  • @loner1878 Actually,I can state whatever I want to,and considering you don't know me you have no knowledge of what I know about genetics. People on here just do NOT seem to understand that I don't CARE what people classify alcoholism as,I DO NOT agree with them along with MANY MANY other therapists, doctors, and etc. If I was the only one who thought this then sure your point would be valid, but considering many other thousands of people believe what I do your point isn't.Agree to disagree, the end.

  • @ladd1975 What an idiotic comparison! How can you compare cancer to addiction? That bitch is responsible for her actions, period. As soon as she had children, they should've become her top priority, but that disgusting bitch is obviously only thinking of herself.

  • @jandi989

she cares about her kids. But, she's selfish. she doesn't understand what it takes to be a good mother. She is ill. But it's no excuse. She knows she has a problem. and if she can't fix it, her kids should have been in care years ago.

when someone is addicted to something, nothing else matters more. and for some people becoming a mother doesn't get them off of drink and drugs, it only makes them worse. she's a weak selfish whore. who never should have had kids.

  • I was crying do hard when all the kids got sepeterated. The mom deserved to go to jail. I know I would never leave my kids like they are nothing.

  • ok who thougth the mom was KINDA nice & an ok mom at the begining in like the pool & stuff. but now's she's terrible & just doesn't care. poor them!

  • It's ashame when the mom is saying to the child do somthing the mom should have gotten sobered up and then take on the responsability of children but then again she was probably a prostitute!!!!

  • @lilma37 igorance is not blizz

  • y did they treat them like they was in prision

  • @harajukabarbie4life b/c places like that are state funded. It is horrible but there use to be a sigma, if kids where places like that they "must" have done something wrong. Things have gotten alot better since the movie was made but it still has along ways to go.

  • @ladd1975 oh i thought they just go to a foster home

  • @harajukabarbie4life some times foster homes are just as bad, some foster parents are just in it for the money. Kids that are abused sad to say are not much better off in a group home or foster home

  • @ladd1975 ok

  • LoL tha mom iz soopa mean

  • cute kitty i woulda gave him or her half my donut

  • at least the mother went to jail. She is a freak!

  • woow, when the cops took the mom away, all she could say was "Gracie do something!"

My mom always told me to be glad of the things that I do have. I'm starting to realize she wasnt just talking bullshit.

  • @LoveMehBesties our moms are the best!!!!!!we should be proud that they gave us birth!!!!!

  • its great that they're together now. but the grandma is way too strict. they're siblings for crying out loud! and those boys are just little kids..they feel scared. it's not bad for them to sleep with their sisters for one night.

  • thats not what any of the padded rooms ive been in look like.

  • if i want to cry i guess i watch life time movies

  • this movie breaks my heart :(

  • wtf, i want to sleep with gracie.

  • why are they treating the girls like there in a prison. they didn't do any thing wrong

  • @piggygurl44 I was wondering that too. It isn't like they wanted to go there either.

  • the mother is so irosponsable. she could look after those kids properly. just because shes only living on benifits doesnt mean she cant get a job, make something of not only her life but her kids!

  • ohh man this is sad :*(

  • this is SO sad. even if eventually they have to be separated because people' can't take care of all of them, this could have been handled so much better. they could have explained it to them first what was going on and let them say goodbye instead of dragging them off and shoving them in cars.

  • @srhpirate2

I know , they were treating them the way people were treated during the friggin WAR. Separating each other like dogs at puppy mills....its sick...

  • all these kids need is more truma in their lives, the mother is unfit 2 put it nicely and those social service people dont have a clue 2 what their doing. they are doing more damage than they are helping.

  • i hate the first part of the scene where they seperate the kids!

  • god am crying soo much, this movie is horrible, i hate the stupid mom, what a bitch!!!!!

  • It's a pity people like the mom are the ones breeding the most.

  • I mean theirs siblings.

  • i always cry in this part when they seperate with there younger siblings.

  • so many kids go through tis.

thats why its important to thank god

for you not being in an enviroment liek that one

  • wtf at the grandma "boys do not sleep with girls!" yea right!

  • @childishyoutubber but if they grew up to sleep with other boys then she might bitch about that too.
