  • Oh Teal, you're so amazing.

  • I just saw her in SF two nights in a row and both times my heart was out of my chest pounding. Ugh. I love her.

  • @MirandaHopeYaLikeIt she's a standby for glinda in wicked on broadway. i was here the week of thanksgiving

  • ABSOLUTE CHILLS at 2:12

I LOVE HER. I hope she comes to broadway sooooon bahhhhhh <3

  • @MirandaHopeYaLikeIt U GOT UR WISH :D

  • She's gotten, like 10000 times better from LA to SF.

  • ...and she was INCREDIBLE in LA as it was!!!!

  • Teal Wicks is absolutley outstanding! She shines brighter then the stars. She's one of my all-time favorite Elphaba's. I hope one day she goes to Broadway and shows to the world just how passionate and rich those pipes of hers are. I don't know much about Laura but from what I just heard I think she's great!

  • Teal and Laura are one of my favorite pairs! Saw them with Adam Lambert!

  • I can't stand Laura but Teal is amazing!

  • @boffinme80 hahaha i'm the exact opposite. i despise Teal, but Laura isn't bad.

  • Probably her best. :)

  • Teal Wicks did an AMAZING performance, my goodness does she have a spectacular voice,

Kendra is so cute when she sings popular, That was my favorite scene.

  • aww love teal

  • WOW that was life changing...

  • is it confirmed Teals opening the SF?

  • yes

  • Yes it is. And I have tickets1

  • with Kendra...I want to see that BADLY!!

  • i saw Teal and Kendra perform in SF back in february they were awesome together

  • ya!!! I saw Teal and Kendra's performance and it was SOOO COOL!! and AMAZING! They had such AMAZING and breathtaking voices!! <3

  • i know!! i totally agree!!!

  • my top used to be ana idina julia eden and saycon now its teal teal teal teal teal and teal.

  • wowza! shes awesome!

  • Teal Wicks is the best Elphaba! no debating that!

  • Except there totally is debating that.

  • crazyronniejoe- Have you even seen caissie? She did get better but I mean common Teal went on more than her. Teal has been and will always be amazing. But Caissie is to :)

  • this is the one i saw

  • I think this is her best "Defying Gravity" ever!

  • and you're judging based on this one audio? Give her a break. I saw Ms Wicks three times at the pantages, last on October 23rd and she delivered amazingly. She sounded better than any of these videos/audios here on youtube.

  • Dang gurl! Julia Murney been givin you vibrato lessons or something?! LOL

  • lolol shame she didn't get acting and stage presence lessons either!

  • LMAO!

  • Dee? She has never made one change of her singing or acting ever and her voice is bad imo

  • dee has recently, my friend.

  • this is great audio! so clear!

  • AMAZING!!!! she delivers EVERY time! i'm really hoping she goes to San Fran because if marcie can get into Broadway she can originate in San fran!

    -Caroline

  • As usual, frikin amazing! Love you Teal! I really hope it's true that she's doing SF! I saw her with Megan Hilty and with Laura Woyasz, and she's amazing with both of them! Love Teal, always have!

  • Teal is nothing if not consistent. She delivers EVERY TIME!

  • she still sounds amazing to me

  • her vocal range went up if anything, she has been in the role for almost a year and is doing it in San Fran so its GOOD that shes doing more wicked cause she is THE BEST

  • Please, no fighting guys. Lets all be respectful of one another's opinions, no matter how different and varied they may be.

    :-)

  • Teal is sooooooo amazinggg! I want to follow here and watch Wicked in San Francisco!!

  • absolutely amazing. she has proven that she's the only actress who was able to keep up with the vocal stamina required for elphaba, besides the original. every other actress who has done the role for an extended period of time showed a significant decrease in vocal quality.

anyway, amazing :) i think people just get mad when she doesnt do her second 'down' riff, but it's still powerful as hell to me!

  • lol. yeah. her and idina really sound exactly the same as when they started playing elphaba...

  • ... Um. Dee Roscioli?

  • Except that she was only in the role for five months, and by the end of the third, her voice was notably strained. She showed quite a dramatic decrease in quality... and you think Idina didn't either? Wow. Seriously, yo... listen to some Idina after... oh, I don't know... opening night on Broadway? Caissie Levy, for example, got stronger. Yes, issues prevented her from doing the full 8 shows a week, but her voice was notably stronger at the end of her run.

  • Even Julia Murney said herself that the vocal parts of Wicked were written irresponsibly. Every woman who does the role of Elphaba eventually strains their voice. Elphaba is one of the most straining, and challenging vocal roles Broadway or the musical world has ever seen. Give these women some credit.. they put their voices on the line for our enjoyment. I have a HUGE amount of respect for anyone who takes on this role.. they're ALL amazing.

  • Lets not forget that Teal also performed the role 50 TIMES in 4 months before she actually took over for 5 more.

Yes, I did notice that she started straining after a while, but then she worked her way through it and ended her run magnificently.

  • her vocal quality and range has really gone down, i guess it's a good thing she wasn't in the role for long

  • laura's amazing, but teal's ehhh

  • wow she's really good here

does anybody have her last or eden's first?

  • she was sick for her last, so angel went on

  • oh that sucks :|

  • teal actually sounds good
