  • You are clearly an idiot with nothing better to do. The Renault 4 was a brilliant little car that served its purpose. It was designed to be cheap and functional. It allowed a whole generation of people to own a car, when many other cars of the time were a lot more expensive and not as good value for money. Nobody ever claimed that the Renault 4 was a luxury car or a sports car. The difference in wheel base was to do with the independent suspension and the handling was not affected. Utter moron.

Gre pač za to, da ima vsaka roka ki drži kolo, svojo, ločeno torzijsko vzmet, ki je vpeta na nasprotni stani avtomobila. (kar zagotavlja večji hod).   • Only if they're transverse torsion bars (the ones on the front of a Morris Minor are longitudinal), and if they run the whole width of the car... anyway, the original poster simply hasn't realised the rear wheels of a fwd car are there merely to keep the back of the car from dragging along the ground.

    the are some rare cars made on the R4 chassis, the JEEP dallas (yes, JEEP :p ) or the sovam 1300 sportscar and some roadsters ;)

    Torsion bars are placed im paralel, reason why the measures arn´t the same in both sides. But if you take a look to the owner's manual, it's all there.

    Renault have made the second most sold car in the world, more than 8 million's cars produced (the first was the VW "beetle" with more than 20 million's).
