i hope you read this man i got a new bass cheap btw but is 5 string so i was wondering if you can give me some advice..i mean i want to learn but idk how to start is it the same to learn like in a 4 string one?

@Amenokuni1 What kind of bass is it, like what brand? The low B string on it is the only difference, that and the neck is sometimes thicker on a 5 string. The other strings will still be E,A,D, and G. If you read tabs then most of the time you will exclude you're low B string unless they specify it has a 5th string. The plus side is you will have more choices of music to play :D rock on with that bass!

@Amenokuni1 If you have the money I would recommend getting a teacher to learn some of the basics. If you dont, then read about it online. Easiest way to learn on your own is to watch how people play, find an easy song you want to learn, and learn it. Figure out if you want to learn with pick or if you prefer to use your fingers instead, try playing them and you'll figure it out.

@rirey777 It's an affordable fretless bass, one without those annoying fretlines. When I bought mine, I got it online. Once I received it I took it to a guitar shop to get them to adjust the action on the neck, which I didn't know how to do. I bought some Rotosound Flatwounds RS77LD because the ones that came with it were roundwounds. The bass on a decent amp sounds pretty good too. If you're looking for a cheap fretless, get the one I have.
