My Middle School band played this song also. And I know ya'll might say that it might not of sound good or as well as this, but we sounded amazing we got all 1's at U.I.L and won the Middle School National Band award. I was also the 1st chair saxophone in the band(yall might think that i sucked but I was the 1st chair saxophone in the High School All-State Band as a 7th grade which was the year we did this piece. Most of our first chairs made made the all-state band

If you know Stephan Gage, he is director of Bands at Youngstown. Plays this song at every show he is in. I had him at Regions and honors and this piece was at both... Amazing Man, but this song is aweful....

omg my band is playing this for our concert opener and everyone..and i mean EVERYONE in the band EXCEPT the band director hates this song with a burning passion. Yet he's forcing us to play it anyway because he thinks it's sooo 'cool'. and i thinks its good, when our band doesn;t play it. I hate all the 16th-note runs the clarinets have to do..it kills me.

this piece sounds difficult but its only a grade 3.

decent middle school bands can probably pull off this piece at a slightly slower tempo.

I also Play tuba. Plus Trumpet. I have sheet music for both parts. I actuslly play tuba in this Song. I am in 8th grade and in Honors Band. We can play this song at tempo. The only problem is Stupid trempets.

you know kid you might be in middle school playing this song for a competition but there is no way you can pull the musicality of this piece off like the Allstate band did.. so stick THAT in your juice box and suck it =] nahh just kidding lol but it's true, middle schoolers just aren't all there musically yet. But don't worry, you'll get there I promise.

NO! i didnt think so we are not compared to middle school....if u dont kno how we sound how can u judge us........juss because some middle school bands cant pull it off doesn't mean we can't....... and that juice box statement is lame it juss shows how imature u are!

Middle schoolers are very testy when it comes to what people say on the internet. Chill out. It's not the fact that you're not good, it's just that there is a lot of maturing left to do. Your tone, embrochure & technique change as you get older-resulting in better overall musicality and musicianship. There are somethings that only come with lots of time & practice.

Like other people have said, just because you can play a song doesn't mean you can play it with the right techniques and with such skill as an All-State band can. You have a lot of maturing to do if your in Middle School, trust me, I know.
