  • Great piloting. I fly a Cessna for my lessons so I can only drool.

  • Fuck yeah. Love his control. Fine control before stall.

  • I agree they need to put f16 engines in the hornets or thrust vectoring engines like the one on f16 matv

  • Truly maneuverable, even with wing tanks, bomb and missile and it still doing crazy maneuver like the TVC aircraft. Open your eyes Russian SU-27.

  • Whats the difference between the Hornet and Super Hornet?

  • Ricardo, you make me proud to be a Canadian. Even though I've been in the U.S. 17 years. Do you know Paul BJ Ransbury?

  • I do believe we have a possible option if the F-35 does not work out.....

The F-18 Super-SUPER Hornet with the new 26,000 Lb thrust engines.

If they don't, the USAF is in trouble within the next 6 years.

  • only if they could improve the ( thrust / weight ) ratio and the max ceiling...then this aircraft will be the best of the cat4 aircrafts at all.

  • i could only imagine if the hornet had thrust vectoring.what a plane it would be.i do think the hornet could use a little more speed though..last i checked it doesnt even hit mach 2.but it still is an awesome machine.

  • imagine if the Super Hornet had thrust vector. DAYUM!! An awesome plane and a very worthy replacement for the legendary F-14.

  • it's already got crazy nose-pointing capability..i'm not sure that TV is necessary. more thrusties, though? yes and yes.

  • dats true....it can use more thrust. But got dam, wit its already crazy nose point and no thrust vector....man the Super Hornet will be simply deadly and unmatched!

  • They should make the F18 able to do 9G pulls.

  • @6V92TA

this plane is superior than any of the russian made su's and migs, the super hornet aesa radar and JHMCS is far more advance than su-35

  • The Rhino has all the maneuverability it needs even without TVC. More thrust, and mission range/time on station and maybe supercruise would be welcome improvements

  • ...oh, and a new ramjet-powered beyond-visual-range AAM (RAM-RAAM?)

  • @Hairysteed true....but come on.....even you would be over impressed if the Super Hornet had thrust vector.

  • @6V92TA The Super Hornet doesn't have the power for thrust vectoring. Anytime you use thrust vectoring the aircraft ends up in high angles of attack requiring a lot of power to recover from. Every thrust vectored plane in the world has a thrust to weight ratio of at least 1:1 if not even more. The SU-30 has a 1.14:1 whereas the Super Hornet is stuck with a weak 0.94:1. A sweet plane indeed but in need of an engine upgrade.

  • @sterlingstroebel I agree. The Rhino could really use an engine upgrade. I can see its engines pushing nearly 26,000 to 30,000 pounds of thrust at full burner with today's technology for engine control. With that power, Thrust Vector should not be a problem.

  • Woo Hoo!! Go Super Hornet!! You have to see this plane for real..its incredible.

  • US Navy fucking rocks!

  • nice job

  • Thanks for the comments!

  • terrible audio. Great video! Turn up the music!

  • terrible audio? at least it don't have any crazy commentator describe every single manoeuvre! I think its a great vid here!

  • Damn! That plane gets up in a hurry!
