The bulgarian 74's are absolutely outstanding I dont know where the fairy tale has come from that they are inferior maybe 1 person says it and another beleives it.The guns and ammo ak47 complete book rated on the bulgy ak74 and it rated very hi.5 round groups at 100yrds 2.5-3.5 inch groups with iron sites.After reading the review by an ar15 lover {who now loves the bulgy 74}I bought one.

@normski262 Yeah my room mate went to school in Canada and he says the same thing! Luckily he lives here now.I buy him guns for Christmas and birthdays etc. God bless you for living under opression and not going nuts. Less government is better government!
I also have a Romanian AK 74 and a Polish Tantal both in 5.45X39 but I still think the Bulgarian is the best out of the three with the Tantal being a close 2nd. Here in CT any Ak variant in 7.62X39 is banned, so I wouldn't know how the Romanian Ak 47 in 7.62 is in comparison.
@mrtampenski This is at the DEP run range in Glastonbury. It's open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 2:00 It's free, but you have to call Monday morning to reserve a spot for the weekend.
@Torcika it is the same platform it just has improvements upon the elder such as a 90 degree gas block, and muzzlebrake that improve accuracy and controlability in fully automatic fire, it also fires a lighter bullet that has a flatter trajectory, thus more accurate.

I have a decent Romanian 47. Among the crowd of experts I get my AK info from, the Bulgarian stuff is favored the most in all cases AK47 or 74.
I have ordered a kit like your but from Apex rather than Copes. I hope mine ends up shooting as nice as yours does.
