LOL Andy, My little Bird hehe they get to visit USA ;) Totally Cool. Loved the video and you guys are looking great too and you sounded like you needed that Beer, Have a few on me ;)
@fehquig I noticed the mistake after I pressed post, but I am just so happy for the badgers, I have been hoping for this result a long time and it got to me. Still., watched this a few times now LOL Its brilliant. Did I tell you I added it to faves ;)
Taking a while to spool up is a perfectly descriptive phrase. I knew what you were talking about, then of course, I have been in the loop since 1985.
that campground seems really awesome !!! it was as well incredible to think that we were having a Skype session over there !!! as usual what looked like a lovely salad !!!
OK, our Skype session was from another campground... This was recorded on June 22, and not July 7, when we had our chat... I don't believe the signal would have been strong enough at Pacific Rim to allow a Skype session like the one we had :)
LOL Where I am again? You know I almost forgot my last name today! Had to think for 30 seconds... Well so much for video - but you can get your email and twitter and stuff... sleep deprivation = beer - good idea... Nice food :) Now I want cheese... I only drink the pride of Nova Scotia :) I don't eat much meat no more... Man I haven't sat by a fire in like 5 years - I need to do this soon!
That classic was "The Purple People Eater Meets The Witch Doctor," by none other than The Big Bopper who died in a plane crash with Buddy Holly and Richie Valens
cool enjoy the internet in t woods lol.... those usb modems r very useful sometimes. unbelievable u guys even carried big mattress to sleep hi hi GOD THAT PLATTER LOOKED LIKE HEAVEN.....lol......
The internet didn't work too good in those woods, but it was perfect at the last campsite we went to which was much closer to town... Cindy takes that mattress everywhere she goes LOL
We have been out hunting for somewhere quiet on the Moor to camp and yesterday we found our perfect spot at a place called Trendlebere Down - beautiful views to wake up to but we will have to watch the weather as it can be pretty bleak up there. No doubt there will be a video when it happens!
Aren't moors supposed to be bleak? I've never really experienced one. I'm definitely looking forward to that... If only I'd had a video camera thirteen years ago when my dad and I camped at the Nitainlii Campground up in the Northwest Territories with the Gwich'in people in the midnight sun... Now THAT was cool :)
@fehquig Indeed this is serious bleak territory - quite looking forward to seeing a real black sky and black ground beneath your feet without the light contamination of a town and waking up and wandering into the wilderness at sunrise without even thinking about getting dressed first!
You two look like your having such a great time. It must be cool there this time of the year. It has been in the high 80s and 90s for 2 months here. I could not stand to camp in the heat. So glad you two had fun.
That was two and a half weeks ago and it was still on the cooler side... We have temperatures in the 80s and 90s this week, and my body learned to sweat again on our second camping trip...
Driving down the road you looked so Happy and Cindy looked so content. haha. Love your camp set up. Look at your food and all the accoutrement for camping. So modern in a way. Cell phones and computers! hehe. It looks like a lovely place. Hugs to you and Cindy Jo!
Yep! I edited no less than five videos on that computer the next day in the rain under that screen tent... When we go camping we always bring more stuff than we need :)
I love to go camping with you guys via these videos! It looks beautiful out there. Okay, Cindy is the comedian on this trip. Loved the bra comment. Hey take us down to the beach or can you go down there? That food looks delicious. Thanks for taking us along! -Jim
LOL Jim, you're one step ahead of me... I shot some video down at the beach but I haven't done anything with it quite yet. I should really get my editing in gear soon...
Well, what we don't show you is the long routine days that lead up to these good times... You should have some great camping down in the Eastern Townships or up in the Laurentians... Our drive out to that campsite would be almost like you driving to Val d'Or to go camping for a weekend :)
I didn't get to see the whole video until I got back home because the signal was too weak to buffer reliably, so it's still camping... We just had another suppa like that one but at home... I'd love to keep commenting but it's past time to go to work :)
Beautiful road to get there, I just love it. The bare floor in the tent I don't understand
but I'm sure you have a reason. Cindy's dinner, yummy! Canada is so beautiful,
I hope you get a good rest Andy, being up 25 hours is hard on the body.
Are there lots of people camping out there? I think I would be afraid of the tent being see through. We always packed a 357 magnum when we went camping.
The bare floor is so that it can be lowered over the stone picnic table because stone picnic tables are really heavy to lift into the tent. That campground is by advance reservation only, so that during the high season it's full. Thankfully, there's lots of undergrowth and trees so that you don't see your neighbors. I like campgrounds like that. The see-through tent is mostly for daytime activities around the table and not for sleeping in... It was a lot of fun when the rains came!
@fehquig Ok, now I understand. I thought you slept in the see through tent.
I like the fact it is for day time activities. Oh I wish we had beauty like that here in Texas. We don't have it in my part of Texas but there are parts that are good.
@justwant2bhappy I bet there are some really beautiful spots in Texas, only they're different from what we have... I have been all over Canada and around much of the USA, and I find natural beauty everywhere!
We would have gone to a more local campground for the first one of the year, but the weather was not cooperating, and we had reservations. We will be going out that way two more times this year :) We did end up doing the more local thing just this week, so I have a lot of editing to do...
Just was thinking haven't heard anything from you two. Oh CindyJo your my kind of girl. I used to camp and pack everything but the mattress I guess now ;). Your stick works that's good. Food looks great. How long did it take you to pack all that stuff LOL. That's why I quit camping I so want to be prepared for everything and looks like you two are.
Hmmm... I've been posting videos every two days. Is YouTube broken AGAIN? I was surprised that the stick picked up any signal at all out there... It typically takes us an hour to pack the van, and it takes us just as long to set up or take down our camp :)
i love this place
