Yeah the camera seemed like the better option for you so its cool that it's gonna work out.

Getting a nicer camera would help, but it won't compare to a full purpose recording setup. We will probably post a frequently asked questions video that addresses this. To sync the audio with the video you have to use video editing software (which comes with most computers nowadays).

My setup and the one used in this video is an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB interface, KRK Rokit monitors, and the Ableton software that comes with the interface. You then can run your guitar directly into the interface, or mic your amp. Since this video I've upgraded to Pro Tools which is exponentially better than the software that came with my interface. I'd try looking at used gear to see if you could piece something together. Good luck!

We certainly encountered the same issue when we first started recording our videos. We still use the same camera, but the audio from the camera is muted and I placed the recorded audio over it. If you're not looking to use camera audio that means you'd need a little home studio setup which generally includes an interface, monitors, and software. Unfortunately, that's probably not going to be under 250 unless you find some smoking deals.

Jordan takes most of the leads here, but I pick up a few of them. Live, Luke still does them all. I asked Tim why they do that and they he said that whoever writes the riff gets to play it most of the time which would obviously suggest that Luke writes more of them. I think Tim should get a few though because I know that he can play them. That's what Jordan and I do because it's kinda lame to keep the spotlight on only one guitarist. No reason both can't play leads.

Haha, I tried balancing the sound as best as I could. The dynamics of our amps are completely different, and here, when looking at the sound waves in the mix, our guitars look like they're at equal volume. But Jordan's amp (left) really cranks out the highs, but not so much the lows, and my amp has a lot more low end balls. Oh well. I'm no mixing/producing master. Glad you liked it though.
