  • haha...dont call me stupid, but ever since i was a kid, i thought it was "team wasabi" hahaha...

  • high how sliver how eye come in peace

  • Has anyone seen BILL COSBY on George Lopez's Talk Show where he tells about the meaning of the word: "KEMOSABE" That is a MUST SEE!! I grew up on the Lone Ranger, too, as did Bill... He was working with some Native Americans (Indians - just trying not to offend anyone) and asked what that word meant in their language. IT IS NOT AN INDIAN WORD!! He pieces together what he assumes is the closest to it's real meaning! I don't t to ruin this because it is HILARIOUS!! Message me if needed.

  • DO A WEB SEARCH ON:

    charles h. miranda OR:

    charlesthepoet2003

    THANKS.

  • In his later years the Lone Ranger was very surprised when he when he had the opportunity to read a Native America -English dictionary (Kemo-Sabe- the backside of a horse)

  • Tonto FTW!

  • GREAT SHOW,NEVER MISSED WHEN I WAS A CHILD OF THE 50/60"S

  • Simply the best ever!

  • they just dont make shows like this anymore.

  • Oh yes, this was a great favourite in Britain in the late 50s/early 60s, as I remember. I used to love it, being into cowboys and indians (as Native Americans were then known), That and Champion the Wonder Horse were my favourites. There was always a good storyline, plenty of action, loads of gunshots and a moral at the end to mull over for 2 minutes before you shot the hell out of your sister with your replica Lone ranger cap pistol! Ha ha!

  • 0:46 "Me glad, kemosabe. Me tight and good for you."

    "Take cover, Tonto!"

    *On the ground*

"They never find us here, kemosabe. Now we make sweet love!"

"Not now, Tonto! They're shooting at us!"

Anyone else find that there is some serious slash potential here???

  • Goddamn we need our kids now to watch this instea of the silly shit on television now

    SS/DOL

  • It is a shame that today`s TV does not teach good morals and honesty like the Lone Ranger show taught.

  • @OaGuardian .....I must be careful then.....mmmmhhh...

  • @OaGuardian About the blood brother ceremony...I know a person, he is a doctor, who have a friend with that ceremony. And he believe that ceremony is very serius. Surpryse, no ?

Jo jo . I think that my english is like the english of Tonto. Thank for your patiens

  • @OaGuardian ...I see...The lonely Rager is for me the mos sugestive story created. In the cinema, with thats actors and on the paper, with the cool style of draw. I send to you my...silver bullet in signal of make friends. And...sorry for my english.

    From La Coruña, Spain.

  • Very good cuality

    But

    Why TONTO ?

TONTO Is a fool in spanish

    Lonely say: TORO

    And TORO is a Bull

  • That's just a coincidence. Frank Striker. Tonto's creator, just liked the sound of the name "Tonto."

  • But in the video, I ear the Lonely to say TORO

and, in the spanish magazines, revistas, they call to the indian...by Toro.

Of course that if the creator say Tonto...Tonto is.

    Thank for your answer.

  • 1958 NYC TV Guide ; Sunday 5;30 pm Channel 7 , Saturday 5;00 PM. I remember it on saturday mornings , probably in the early 1960's .

  • The Texas Rangers are the only law enforcement agency anywhere that either has or takes the authority to follow their prey into any jurisdiction in the world. You would rather have the FBI on your tail. OK, I'll shut up now.

  • I remember.

  • One thing that always puzzled me about this show...

Why was he called the Lone Ranger, when he always had Tonto with him?

    Strange that.

  • Kabogga- in short, John Reid(Lone Ranger) his brother & other rangers tracked outlaws into a canyon which turned out to be an ambush. All were killed except John. Tonto, whonhad been a childhood friend, was hunting in the canyon & came across the massacre. He buried the dead & nursed John back to health. Tnoto christened John the Lone Ranger as the only survivor. John swore to uphold the law,cut a mask from his brothers' vest off they rode.

  • The Ranger & Tonto went to wildhorse canyon to find a suitable mount for him & found a white horse that had been injured by a buffalo. As the horse recovered & ran away Tonto said the horse shined like silver, hence, .....Silver. Coincidently, a friend & I went to the Texas Rangers Museum yesterday in Waco, Tx. I knew a lot about them before but came away with much, much more. Visit the website, you'll be fascinated."One fight,.....one Ranger.

  • Sadly there came a time when Clayton Moore could not wear the mask. Some legal thing. He had to wear dark sunglasses instead. A tv show called Real People brought this to life in the 70's. I was a kid at the time. Does anyone remember?

  • I remember that very well. I think it was at the time when that awful Lone Ranger movie starring Clinton Spilsbury was being promoted. I believe the appearance on Real People helped him get the rights to the mask back.

Moore's autobiography is a great read also. It's been a few years since I've read it, but I think the title is "I Was That Masked Man".

  • Jay Silverheels(Tonto) was a Harvard grad & captain of the sculling team.

  • i cant wait to see johnny depp in this new film !! in mexico the name of tonto was toro.

  • I managed to get a copy of the very first Lone Ranger episode and how he got his mask. Brilliant stuff.

  • Like the Axe leather commercial? hahaha

  • Clayton Moore , always wore the lone Ranger Mask in public. When the new Lone Ranger movie came out he lost the right to wearing the mask, after thousands of petitionfrom the public he won the rights to wearing it again. He appear in circus's children events with it. I met Tonto in Rochester, N.Y. when my aunt live next to his relatives.

  • The petetions helped but the truth is that during the lawsuit, Clayton Moore's atty submitted a photo of his star on the Hollywood walk of fame which reads"Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger." The only actor to have his characters name on the stone.

  • This was the role Moore was born to play. I remember when the lawsuit was filed to try to keep Moore from wearing the mask in public. I remember thinking how petty it was to try to stop the man from donning that mask. And it was all for the purpose of trying to promote that hideous movie mentioned above. RIP Clayton Moore.

  • @hanoc101 Remember Moore got around that by wearing sunglasses and got a commercial out of it, I think for Foster Grant. Ah Kemo Sage!

  • @hanoc101

I fully agree and hope if they do another lone ranger they dont make the same mistake

  • Love this show! It was one of my favorites as a kid. They may be gone, but never forgotten. Only wish that they would bring shows like this back to enjoy once again! I would watch it on a daily basis,if I did have a tv set,but glad that I can watch it online. Hope that you can find more of these episodes and seasons of The Lone Ranger.

  • @Drifty1956 Me Too! Did you ever notice that, during the entire series, Clayton Moore NEVER shot anyone? He always shot the gun out of the bad guy's hand, but never actually shot the man? Just a cool bit of trivia. And get the box set. It is SO worth it!

  • come on man lo indians dont use gel lol

  • They probably use oils from the buffalo, the natives made alot of things out of they hides.

  • with that mask he looks like michael jackson. his best friends were "tontos"

tonto means idiots stupid silly in spanish!

  • Now THATS acting.

  • CAMP !!!!!! but fun !!

  • The very alone "Lone Ranger" used it on his horse Silver.

  • "KimoSabi" means "don't forget the lubricant oil shweety"

  • okay sweetpie give it to me

  • I'm surprised how many people there are who still don't know how the Lone Ranger got his name.

  • cool

  • I own the 75th anniversary collector's edition box set.

It includes seasons 1 and 2 of the series.

It was released by Classic Media.

    Excellent Quality Great audio

A must for any Lone Ranger fan.

  • I have it also and it is a wonderful set!

  • Sounds like the guy who played Frank Burns in M*A*S*H...

  • I used to love this show, it was rerun in the UK in the mid 1970s and though terrible acting I got kinda hooked.
