Miami was the team of the 80's. That is for sure but why didn't the documentary show Alabama whipping Miami in the Sugar Bowl in 1992 for the national championship and ending the Miami Dynasty. I remember watching that game and Alabama beat them by 30 points. Miami hasn't been the same since.
So much freaking talent has come out of the 'U' in the last 30 years. If you could assemble them all in a time capsule, they could take on an NFL Team and win. The size, speed and tenacity was very intimidating. I am glad the program is making its way back.

Born and raised in Miami and a Hurricanes fan but I also don't live in the past. The "swagger" era was a long, long time ago and a lot of other programs have surpassed Miami on the football field. Frankly, I'm glad the school is doing a better job of actually EDUCATING the players these days since the vast majority will never get paid to play the game as a professional. The old times were fun but I really don't miss the thug reputation the program had back then.

Alabama has 8 National Championships. Does that compare to Miami??? SEC bowl record was 6-4 this year, mediocre by SEC standards for sure. At least we got the National Championship and the Sugar bowl, not bad for a mediocre SEC year.

It's also pretty funny how such a dominant football program like UNC claims the biggest win in their entire history was beating Miami on a field goal back in 2004. If Miami sucks so bad, then why are they a landmark for UNC to set their sites on? When the hell has a football team beating UNC EVER been that program's biggest win in their history? That's when you actually know you're a relevant school and team that actually matters. Even when the Canes suck, teams see a win over them as HUGE.
