I simply loved it! I loved both voices: Stella's was soft, but not weak like Aerith from KH2. And then Noctis's reminded me of Squall's (not too young or too old, and deep). I have to say that Stella's deep accent helped a lot with her character, all while Noctis had it also, but very slightly. Where are those accents from?

Something about the voice I'm hearing, along with Noctis' design in general, is making me think of Yuri from Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

Meaning I wish that the character of Noctis gets to be snarky, but all around a pretty upbeat, yet still pretty badass, modest person. And since this is a High definition FF grounded further towards reality, I don't mean a complete copy of Yuri's personality, but a character who knows what mood to be in when the situation calls for it.

I always imagined Noctic's voice to sound more like a younger man, almost like a 19-21 year old but with it being really dark, sort of like Riku from Kingdom Hearts but dark like Clouds, just not as depressing. Noctic seem like he's dark but not as detached as Cloud.

@iblisrapper I....don't think that's really the story. Whether or not Noctis is "good" or "bad"...that's one thing. But he's the protagonist of the story. And there's NOTHING to suggest he wants to kill his father. The kingdom is being invaded by outside forces who seek to take their crystal, and Noct must protect the crystal.

King Caelum does say "I'll never let you have the throne," but it was confirmed he's NOT talking to Noctis in that scene.

Considering you guys are amateurs, I think you did a really good job on the voice acting. Well, the one playing Noctis had a few noticeble flaws, but not too bad. I'm curious if you're fluent in Japanese because, tho similar, another translation I read was not quite the same. Not to say you're wrong, or that they are, as translating to English can have many, many alterations. Just curious.

Also, what is your accent? Is it for real, or were you faking one for the character? It seems to fit her.

Both actors sound stale and has the feel of reading lines off a bit of paper. Emotion through the voice seems suppressed and forced. The female however does sound better than the male despite the awkward accent for the character. The dynamics of her voiced conveyed its intended meaning compared to the monotonous sounding voice of the male.

Other than that, good job.

Im sick of people hating on FF ever since FF12 came out. For me FF12 was my favorite! I like the graphics and scenary and I loved the characters with amazing voice actors. ive read a lot and the only one i saw was Nomura said about the theme of Versus which is "Bounds" and that there be "Likely" no romance <--"Likely"/Possibility" . Knowing that versus is a dark gloomy not your average Fantasy FF...since this is base in a more realistic atmosphere..not a fantasy happy love love type like ff10 or ff8 or some lovestuffs going on in ff13.

@NeiruNilos It is called Final Fantasy Versus because it is against almost everything Final Fantasy is. No turned based gameplay. No happy colorful world. The game is gloomy and dark, the oposite of Final Fantasy XIII actually.

The only information given is that the game will arrive at the fall 2011 or later in Japan. The game is real time, it has 4 or 5 trailers, and has been quite secret. TGS 2010 will have a new trailer of this game together with Agito

This game is an entirely new game (might as well be Final Fantasy XIV), but it shares the same mythology as the other thirteen titles. It's another interpretation of the same base mythology. Hence it's part of the Fabula Nova Crystalis compilation (the xiii franchise). There is still Final Fantasy Agito XIII and a title that's floating around called Final Fantasy Haerisis XIII.
