I am making you mashed potatoes today and don't have a clove of garlic but I do have garlic POWDER, about how much should I use if I'm making just as much as you did here?
@ChefTips Yeah, that's what I thought (whipping potatoes too long), too. I love garlic mashed potatoes - use a very similar recipe as yours. My only problem with heating cream is that I have an electric stove that's about ten yrs old. I hate it, b/c no matter how low I adjust the heat, it either doesn't bring anything up to temp, or it boils over. Guess it's time for a new stove. What do you think?
I have a general question about mashed potatoes; mashed potatoes are not exactly a staple in our culture (Turkey). Is it better (tastier) to heat the milk and butter, or stir in the butter and milk cold? I might have to try both methods to see which one tastes better, but if you already know the answer, then please share. Thank you for the videos and recipes :)
I'm 100% sure that it's as delicious as it looks, but isn't that way too much butter and calories (cream + cheese + lots of butter)? Unless you are not eating the whole thing yourself of course :)
What is that cooking utensil you use to mash/mince the garlic with? If we don't have that utensil, what else can we use to mince/mash the garlic? Can we just mince it with a knife? And is mincing it good enough? Sorry for all the questions :)
Im so lazy I make eggs, tea and macaroni 3 minute cup in the microwave at the same time. This recipe is short and to the point. Lol. No telling your whole life story and about how you discovered this recipe.
I appreciate this recipe because Im lazy person I dont like to cook. Thank God this recipe seems simple. I cant stand shows that require 10 ingredients, takes forever to prepare and you never even heard of the ingredients like that guy that always goes BAM!! lol

I thought if you used a wire whisk for mashed potatoes that they'd turn out too gummy or glutenous. What am I missing?
MyFreedomChannel 1 month ago
@MyFreedomChannel
I have never heard that.
It could be that people are mixing the potatoes too long under their whisk that causes the problems.
