  • TRUMPETS FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Our director made it a tradition to play this every year at our winter concert also this was my first year playing trumpet so it was a bit difficult for me .

  • We had a tradition to play this every year for our winter concert. Unfortunately our new directors stopped that tradition. We were kind of a way unbalanced band, instrumentation-wise. It's cool to hear what this piece sounds like with a full, balanced band :)

  • We recently played this at our High School Concert Award Ceremony. I play trombone, but my band director had me learn tuba for this so i was a nervous reck that night. It went well though. I love this piece.

  • played this my freshman year of high school. (yes freshman..don't worry we had the sophomores juniors and seniors with us) it actually sounded well in our recording.

  • Wish I knew which ensemble was playing this. Sounds an awful lot like ours.

  • My schools wind ensemble played this. We didnt have an english horn, so we used a soprano saxophone.

  • I'm gonna be a hardass and express how much i know about instruments and harmony over the internet!!! am icool!?

  • is that really the saxophone's solo?? man it does NOT sound like a sax at all sounds more like a string instrument o.O

  • @annieiscarlton I know you did not just call the English horn solo a saxophone solo.

  • Second Horns---Wooo WHOOOOOOO!

  • @Pizat19 i think this is the U.S. Air Force Band,

  • Cut off at the best part :(

  • oboe c:

  • First time paying this music this year. Freshman tuba.

  • the tempo here is 32 . . . o god

  • @fosho78901 I don't think the tempo is 32. I'm pretty sure the beggining is in 6/8.

  • @duckdavis actually it is indeed in very slow 3/4, though the conductor may prefer to conduct in 6

  • @TheSpuzzy Right, I just checked the music. It is indeed 3/4. But when we play it in my High School Orchestera, she wants us to think of it as 6/8.

  • @duckdavis its 3/4 but ill check the music jus to make sure :)

  • @fosho78901 It actually it 3/4, I was mistaken. It's just my Orchestera conductor wants us to think of it as 6/8 when we play it.

  • First piccolo. . . .god help me

  • @Theonewithmusic14 Oh I know right?!

  • @Theonewithmusic14 Second piccolo, I feel your pain from this song! The high G's to A natural 16th notes were. . . unholy to say the least.

  • We had a brass sectional today in band and the French horn leader said if done right this piece is a brass orgasm, so right...

  • I'm playing this in my high school band. My homework was to find a good recording of it to get an idea of the style... Accomplished! :D

  • Nah I think the best part ever is second horn cuz that's what I play I get some of the coolest parts... shame they don't stick out being that I'm the only one who plays it

  • this is beautiful! I hope our band does a good job playing this :D
