STR has nothing to do with Ferrari, but the fact that they use Ferrari engine's. STR is a second team for Mateschitz. Scuderia means 'constructor' in italian, and Toro Rosso means Red Bull in Italian. At the end of 2005 Mateschitz bought the Italian small team Minardi, and renamed that to Toro Rosso. But the employees remained the same, the factory was still in Faenza, so the team still has an Italian image, that's why they use the Scuderia name as many teams have done it before.

they use dry ice instead of regular ice because A: gas will travel up through the engine bay, and B: because its colder. it has nothing to do with water, these cars run in extremely heavy rain remember?

Ok.. What i was trying to say was that the team let me accelerate the engine.. I had some kind of wire in my hand and it had a litlle plug where i used to press and the engine just reved like hell.. I sat in the cockpit, but didnt really drive the car..

@xkakashix12 Juan Pablo Montoya can't seem to get it, nor did Jacques Villeneuve. Can't all you race fans just face the fact racing is racing. It's great to support your sport but be realistic and just understand F1, Cup and the former CART that's now the IRL series are all the best of their divisions and they have the greatest drivers in their respective series. I myself am a true race fan and love to watch all forms of racing. Don't be so narrow minded.

@brainfable16 The main reason is to cool, and since dry ice is harmless when it turns into a gaseous form it wouldn't hurt the motor at all, in comparison to regular ice turning into water.

@oniontom1324 they can`t use RB5 because teams agree not to do any kind of test during the season. If they use RB5 (similar to this year model) they can get data from engine output, suspension, etc. in order to avoid this problems they use RB1 with V10 engine so they dont have any problem.

@DaveDuva Gues to cool temperature of the radiator cause the place it where the radiators are. Air intake is above the head... I think the car has to ride at a certain speed to cool enough. When he does the spins it warms up to much I guess
