  • the great Chaplin

  • The real him looks better than the movie him!

  • iconic!

  • Someone could tell me the name of this beautiful song please? i love it!

  • @bbibbl The music is titled 'Terry's Theme' from the film 'Limelight' and is composed by Charlie Chaplin.

  • ahhh, limelight! What a beautiful tribute to chaplin, I love him =D

  • Beautiful! I'll never love anyone more...

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Regardless of how Hollywood viewed him, I feel that Charlie Chaplin was a genius and well ahead of his time.

  • Chaplin was orphaned and abandoned, plagued by political and moralistic controversies yet, he brought laughter to millions worldwide. An award winning actor, writer, director, producer and composer, and thought by many to be the greatest comedian of all.

    Fondly, Hedda

Chaplin said of his screen character, The Little Tramp: "A tramp, a poet, a dreamer, a lonely fellow, always hopeful of romance and adventure".

  • Sad that the States throwed him out and called him a communist.

    Sad for him.

  • I read a brief document about this, but I still can't find any good information about it. Can you tell me what happened please?

  • In 1952 Chaplin was hunted by the anti-communist moreheads (McCarty), and they accused him to be an anti-american (communist). Filled with anger he travelled to London. When he was in England the American state desided that he was an anti-american and should never come back to the states. He never did. Depressed he moved to Switserland, made two bad movies and died.

  • Oh my, that's so sad! I'm sure the allegations were false, right?

  • I dont know what political "side" Charlie Chaplin liked, and i am sure that he did not want us to know what was inside his head, but he made a "lot" of money and that does not feel like an comunist to me. Mr McCarty accused a lot of good people in that time, and created nothing but fear.

  • Sad for THEM!!!

  • I'm such a fan of Charlie, he was such an amazing latin lad! He was just as brilliant as your video! I'm so glad you chose the song he chose in his movie!!! This pulls at my heart strings. I know how much time and effort you put into making these slides! *BRAVO*

  • The begining of Hollywoodland my how much its changed actors did it for the art so called actors today do it for the mags and glitz and glamour

  • Absolutely, you are correct. I myself despise what Hollywood has become, and also how the public views it.

  • Male Stars sadly were not famous for glitz and

diamonds or long shapely legs. They were viewed

in a toned down capsule shrouded in character

roles mainly. Females had a more difficult measure

to achieve by appearing flawless and glamorous'

sadly female actress,s faded away sooner due to

    the pressure of remaining beautiful.

  • Beautifully done, with such taste and elegance. Lovely.

  • Charlie Chaplin was almost like a manly doll like

character` victorian humor with a slap stick appeal,

silent on screen but he needed no voice to express

him self. Many tried to reinvent him` but few came

close! there will always be just one Chaplin.
