Never use a cotton swab while disinfecting something or someone. The "Q-Tip" can have particles such as dirt. Then when you puncture the skin, it can go into the open space and cause a infection....Its not rocket science.

@RatzAzz69 It's a 14g for the needle, then they insert 16g jewelry, so it doesn't stretch, which allows for better healing and less chance of the skin healing an infection in, due to the sensitive nature of facial skin. ._.

Well, OF COURSE IT HURTS. You get a 14g needle shoved through your face. Twice. And then it hurts for one week after, because the holes become chafed.

Word of advice, get studs when you first get your lip pierced. CBRs rotate inside the hole, and irritate the piercing pretty bad.

Also, they attract food, which if it gets inside of the hole, it can irritate it pretty bad as well. I learned the hard way.
