  • Hey im 20, 6'6 290

Few years back in highschool I was around 260 and in great shape, played football and baseball until I had an l5/s1 back fracture and that ended my sports career.. resulting in muscle loss/atrophy andI was wondering..for my size and age..what would be the best thing to gain it back and re strengthen my back and core as well as cut some pounds off of my gut. I also had full reconstructive hand surgery about a year ago and I do not have full range of motion so i am limited. ty!

  • amazing body FTW

  • Hey man! I think your videos are pretty awsome, Im 15 and Im using your resistance band workout and I added a couple more excercises from your other videos and some other excercises that don't use a resistance band. For now I only have a medium resistance band from Kmart hehe, and It's a little hard doing shoulder excercieses as the band is a little too strong but It's a little too easy for the back excercises, so I'm thinking of buying a package of ripcords. Thanks for your videos mate!

  • @Goldi2000ok My pleasure. Thanks for the positive feedback. Yeah, you should really go get a few resistance bands because it's hard to have good workouts using just one medium band. At the very minimum it's best to have three bands: light, medium, and heavy. Ripcords are a great set of resistance bands.

  • @modeathletics I actually decided to order Bodylastics Resistance Bands 134 lbs kit. Seems like you get more for the money. Once again thanks for your videos and help!

  • Hey there! I just discovered your video while looking for a resistance band workout. I purchased a 12 dollar resistance band from Target. Does it matter what type of resistance band I have?

  • @chewrc No, it doesn't matter what resistance bands you use. There's virtually no difference between cheap no-name bands sold on eBay (or Target) and the more expensive bands sold online such as Ripcords and Bodylastics. It's all just elastic tubing that you stretch out to create resistance and give your muscles a workout. But you'll probably need a few bands of varying levels of resistance to give yourself enough of a challenge on exercises that use large muscles such as rows and chest presses.

  • Im 16 and weigh 215lbs. i want to lose 10 pounds every month if possible ive cut back on what I eat (red meat, soda, fast food,ect...)and have been running about a mile every Monday,Wednesday, and Thursday doing at home workouts every night before I go to sleep and lifting weights.Im hopeing this will pay off in three months before my B-day anyways i need some dieting advise or food plan BTW I started 3 weeks ago lost 5 lbs

  • I have a question. When I was 13, I weighed 100lbs., almost skinny, 5'3", no muscle. Now I'm about to be 15 and ever since then, I started working out, grew half an inch & I weigh 118 lbs. now. Idk how much fat I have left but I only have a little bit left. Can you tell me how to burn the rest of my fat effectively in about 2-3 months without losing muscle? Because I've heard that running or cardio makes you lose muscle. Also, I tend to eat alot.

  • how long would it take u to get 6 pack if ur 12

  • @mhansonable different times depending on your BMI body fat % and your build. for instance, i started out with a BMI of 18.9 and a fat % of 11%. it took me about a month to make my abs noticeable and about 6weeks - 2 months to make it look like a well developed 6 pack. i worked my ass of. keep in mind tho that some people can get six packs because they dont have it in their genes. so no matter how hard u work might not be able to get a 6 pack, but dont give up hope :) its worth a try im 13 btw

  • 6 ppl just sit on their lazy ass and just watch XD

  • Mike,i wanna ask u something,i eat a lot of food and weight gainer, but my body mass is still remain the same as now,my father say because i'm 18 years old,my body can't grow big more, unless my age is entering 20 years old and above..is that true?cause i'm really3 want to build a nice body, can u help me?thanks so much!

  • @NazrulSyah I think what your father was trying to tell you was that after you get older (i.e. into your twenties and thirties) it becomes much easier to gain weight and build muscle. I struggled like crazy to gain muscle while in my teens, but once I reached my twenties it became a lot easier. With that said, you can still gain a lot of weight/muscle while in your teens. It's just harder when you're younger. My advice to you: eat more.

  • @modeathletics can u suggest what type of food i have to eat?thanks!

  • Where's the cat?

  • @Mrsleeloula it went out burning fat lol

  • how much weight will i lose witha proper diet and ur 10 min fat burning workout in a week/

  • In Soviet Russia, Fat burns you!

Oh and BTW wheres the cat? O.o

  • ohhh man you really made me happy with that answer, Im very bad with diet tho, for example, Ill do 1 hour cardio in morning, on bike, but then I eat crazy fat foods, like pasta filled with tomato sauce, iced tea, or large amounts of soda, so even tho I do crazy good cardio, the food makes me gain everything I lost. I just dont know what to eat, Im thiking fruits, but I cant just eat fruits, and chosing how often I should eat, and how much, is the biggest blockage in my 30-40 pound goal 4 90 days

  • I want to lose 30-40 pounds with cardio, in 90 days, possible? Im 16.

  • @YOUmommaHAX Cardio is isn't the most effective way to burn fat. You should focus on total-body circuit training as well as high-intensity interval training. But slow boring cardio is better than no exercise at all, so if cardio exercise that's your preference, that's fine. With proper diet and exercise, 90 days is enough time to lose 30 to 40 pounds.

  • @modeathletics Love the videos Mike. I like running quite a bit, but I heard that lifting and running don't go very well together. Any recommendations? Can I go running and lifting on the same day? Or is it better spread out through the week?

  • @MicrowavedHamster Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm not sure why you were told that lifting and running do not go together. The only reason I can think of is that running burns muscle tissue, so if you're trying to build muscle, running isn't very conducive to that. But if your goal is general fitness and you're just trying to stay fit and maintain the muscle you already have, I don't see why you shouldn't lift weights and run on the same day.

  • MIKE,ON THE SLASTIX BANDS THERE ARE DIFFERENT RESISTANCE LEVELS.WHAT IS YOUR RECOMMENDED RESISTANCE? MEDIUM, HEAVY,SUPER HEAVY?

    I'M AGE 60, 260LBS. FAIRLY STRONG GUY.

  • @herbdalyjr I don't recommend the Slastix bands. I've used countless brands of resistance bands ranging from Elite Cords, Ripcords, Bodylastics, TKO, Sissel, GoFit, and many others, and the Slastix have been by far the worst bands I've ever used. The material covering the bands makes them very awkward to stretch out and I much prefer bare tubing over the covered Slastix tubing.

  • i love how he stands. kinda gay..................... but its a vid video and nice excersises throuught his vids and stuff. :)

  • dude dont insult; it's like throwing salt on an open cut. out of shape people are already hurting; so like muscles we have to make them stronger. positive=positive. your work is great, but your attitude can use an adjustment. and remember to K.i.s.s keep it stupid simple.

  • wheres the cat

  • Why is it, that 90% of the videos about loosing weight are about selling stuff to people?! Exploiting someone who is desperate is just pure evil!

  • I oddly get the feeling this is just product placement,Thanks for wasting 3 minutes of my time.

  • I took action by joining a gym and then getting into a training program and I'm trying to learn what i can do at home when I can't go to the gym! I have 3 resistance bands, 2 "heavy" and 1 "medium" from sports authority. I'm new to all of this but I'm hoping in 6 months to REALLY see some progress and be fit and healthy! =)

  • @New2Fitness I took action by joining the army. hooah.

  • are the weightless bands useful or do they have to be weighted?

  • need 3 weeks to loose a stone of body fat.. easily done? you bet.

  • Thanks, you are correct, one must take action.

  • Hi Mike!

I came across your videos today and I feel like I have discovered the Holy Grail! You have totally changed the way I think about exercising. You have given me the tools to completely change myself for the better in ways I never thought possible! I have just ordered my Terrell Owens Bands today and can't wait to get them and get started! I want to be a part of the "TAKE ACTION" group! I want to "GET RESULTS!"

  • Outstanding! Please keep me posted on your progress. I look forward to hearing about your success!

  • @destinychika bro you can do it. check me out on facebook where i have a photo album that shows how i went from being 260 to 180 with 10% body fat on a shred cycle now to bring me to 5% body fat.
