I'm pissed that the aid money my country sends is diverted to developing Eurotrash housing for the bourgeoisie. While not directly being diverted though, most likely the reason the Ethiopian government gets aid money is because they blow their entire budget on financing shit like what's in the video and don't have enough money to feed the starving people. I think the first world governments need to audit countries like these that receive aid money.
Ive been contemplating moving my family to ethiopia, Im from america(babylon) but i want to leave this place i hate the culture here. I dont know how the economy and education system is there, I just need a little insight from the beatiful people from ethiopia can someone please give me a little insight it would be greatly appreciated -Shalom and Yah bless!
I've been to Ethiopia in the 90's...one day I'ld like to go back and visit this place again..sooo wonderful seeing it prosper. By the way, I miss the music of Addis too!!
niceeeeeeeeee pic i love it who post this nice pic god bles u is so nice i am eritrean i was born in addis but some haw i was diport it i miss so much ethiopia
Here's the 'other' Africa that the media never shows. Nice to see that your country is moving forward. Once time (and money) permit, I'd like to go to Ethiopia and see it for myself.
mamushe,,,it is so so pretty place to life and a banch of beatuful people live there, i can be a witness plus your job can be too. Thanks again for showing us this pretty place. missed this place so much mamush
It is so nice to see my beautiful Addis being like this, and I have a suggestion to the owner of this video; I think some people prefer to see the picture posts with classical music including me, because the song is taking attention by itself. So, would you please, post it again with adorable classical music?
Thanks for your comment. To answer your question, I really don't know how to replace the song on the video by another one. I dont know what to do or how it's done. Will try to find out just that and let u know.
at 06:23 i see 20+ buildings in one shot, instantly captured imagery. But you are right this is not about multi-billion dollar infrastructure project, it is not, it is rather about a city from rags to something and the undying wish of every Addis Ababan that the city may someday will look like the beautiful, kind and good spirited people it inhabits.
Nice Addis as always... Now the only one other thing we have to do is : to highliht the old "tracks" of Addis in Menlek's time: there are a lot of treasures in Addis : Just read "Old tracks in the New Flower" a historical guide of Addis written by Milena Batisotni and Gian Paola Chiari: there are "ancient" (not old" buildings really fantastic which need to be "recovered" but a real and rare example of house styles of that tiem: autocton of Addis, Armenian, Indian,Italian Frecnh
wow. I don't recognize this places on the picture. Is this Addis for real? I am amazed on what had happened in the past 8 years. I hope to see more. Thanks for the pics.
Well done Mamush, hey ppl keep the politics aside and think positive and appreciate the change Ethiopia went through and dream, plan and make a quick decision to part of making the difference in your home country. It is every Ethiopian responsibility nothing to do politics (politician come and go) but Ethiopia will stay there forever.
Hey I've been in Addis in the past 6month and it is just like any other country beautiful in some places and not in others. My favorite thing is the people 4 D most part they R as sweet as they come but there are a few who of course hate foriegners and don't want you there, and have no problem letting you no that. However some people exspect Ethiopia 2 B dirt roads, people who R uncivialized, and that is not true at all being raised N D west I loved it, and felt very @ home,go C 4 your self
i swear i was thinking about buying a condo here in canada, now you got me thinking about ethiopia. ITS BEAUTIFUL!!! don't tell me that is like one section of the city though. i have not been there for 20 years now, i left when i was five and a half. i miss it though
for the " balanced video" please refer to eritreanreview aka ethiopian review bbc cnn and other western news outlets.
we have been bombarded by the negative image of our beautiful city for yrs and now it's time to counter attack them with the reality of what's going on in addis and all over Ethiopia - "unprecedented progress" Al jezerra
so please go to those sites i just mentioned above for the image that will probably satisfy ur thrist.
great video...apparently the "wayane" government aint too bad huh ? ...they did a lot more for ethiopia than the whole haile selassie and mengistu's government combined.
Now i know that woyanne is doing a good job. I am not against them anymor .may God help them as the ethnic federalism they preached and implemented might drain all the achievements they brought.
That is exactly what i said after coming back from home almost a month ago...i said GOD BLESS WEYANE:) seriously...
it was unthinkable for me to say such a thing to weyane and eprdf before but now after seeing what i saw...i said may God keep them in power forever...
people change and u b surprised how much support ppl show to them back home so what the hak...they do better for Ethiopia i am with them..thanks
well woyannes r the ones in charge of the country right now ... the party is called EPRDF but woyanne is their nick name that they adopted back in the days of fighting to overthrow the communist gov't...
