I'm pissed that the aid money my country sends is diverted to developing Eurotrash housing for the bourgeoisie. While not directly being diverted though, most likely the reason the Ethiopian government gets aid money is because they blow their entire budget on financing shit like what's in the video and don't have enough money to feed the starving people. I think the first world governments need to audit countries like these that receive aid money.

Ive been contemplating moving my family to ethiopia, Im from america(babylon) but i want to leave this place i hate the culture here. at 06:23 i see 20+ buildings in one shot, instantly captured imagery. But you are right this is not about multi-billion dollar infrastructure project, it is not, it is rather about a city from rags to something and the undying wish of every Addis Ababan that the city may someday will look like the beautiful, kind and good spirited people it inhabits.

Now the only one other thing we have to do is : to highliht the old "tracks" of Addis in Menlek's time: there are a lot of treasures in Addis : Just read "Old tracks in the New Flower" a historical guide of Addis written by Milena Batisotni and Gian Paola Chiari: there are "ancient" (not old" buildings really fantastic which need to be "recovered" but a real and rare example of house styles of that tiem: autocton of Addis, Armenian, Indian,Italian Frecnh

Hey I've been in Addis in the past 6month and it is just like any other country beautiful in some places and not in others. My favorite thing is the people 4 D most part they R as sweet as they come but there are a few who of course hate foriegners and don't want you there, and have no problem letting you no that. However some people exspect Ethiopia 2 B dirt roads, people who R uncivialized, and that is not true at all being raised N D west I loved it, and felt very @ home,go C 4 your self
