Hey leuk filmpje,

ik ben ook bezig met me motor rijbewijs (licht) omdat ik nog geen 21 ben, ik wil ook graag een sv 650 25 kw gaan kopen, heb je nog tips waar ik op moet letten tijdens het kopen 2e hands ? en hoe hard gaat een sv 650 (nieuwe model2003+) als hij 25 kw is ?

@rangeboy005 Probeer een Sv te kopen die op tijd z'n onderhoud heeft gehad en het liefst 1 met boekjes en historie. En koop geen Sv die in de pekel heeft gereden, dat was bij deze wel en hij kon er slecht tegen. De top ligt rond de 170, misschien harder met de wind in de rug en bergaf ;)

Er zijn weinig 25kw sv's. Ik heb destijds een vol vermogen sv gekocht en er een 25kw chip in laten zetten (440 eu!) Die chip heb ik nog en mag voor veel minder weg. Stuur maar een pb voor meer info!

My Suzuki SV650S is restricted aswell i got 165kmh out of it down a belgium motorway before i was forced to slow down

is zo'n fazer wat op 25 kw? ik vind het namelijk echt een super vette motor en vraag me af of het een beetje lekker rijd met die begrenzing

@martijn700 Laat hem begrenzen via een testbank. Dan kun je hem laten begrenzen op 25kw/33pk op het achterwiel, dan rijd hij al een stuk vlotter dan met 25kw op de krukas. Rij inmiddels al weer 2 jaar zonder.

Have you driven it without the limiter yet? If not you'll love it. Mine was an 01 SV so it had a limiter on the carbs but it was causing too many prblems, mainly jumpy revs so I removed after about a Month

My friend's SV 650 does 200 at 25kw, we did 200 with me on the motorway, tho a slight downhill, barely noticable. hmm.. I think it's a -99

It's possible. I had a '01 before this one. That bike drove 185 on a straight bridge. This one is slower but better in handling. But now its full throttle :)

Why would you restrict the power? Is it a law or something? You could have just bought a smaller bike if it has to much power, and saved your money.

Yes, in holland you have to drive a restricted version untill you're 21. Now its full power. So this was the cheapest option instead of switching bikes.

I'm getting my SV650N k3 next Saturday and I can't wait for it, it is also restricted to 25KW but it goes better than the 600cc Sportbikes with 25KW doesn't it?

What's it topspeed? And what's the time from 0-100?

Mine is also restriced with a different CPU.

Yes, it has more torque than a 600cc 25 kw. My topspeed is about 160-170kmh, 0-100 6-7 sec. But I have the S version so better aerodynamics. I think your N version is a bit slower ;-) But the fun factor is very high!

Is it REV restricted or how are they able to narrow it down to only 33hp (25kw)

I donn't know what REV means but I it has an other ECU that controls the injection.

i meant RPM! hehe. i've heard that some have a restrictor that puts the redline at 6 or 7 thousand instead of the full range.

hehe okay, well I also had an '01 sv that was restricted at the carberators but their both go to the 11.000 but only slower than normal. This one gives 33 bhp at 9.000 so..

I'm running a 33bhp K7 SV650S at the moment. Had it at the full 70bhp for the first month until the first service, then got the restrictor kit in. You'll be well chuffed with how quick it still is =] It only really starts to run out of steam after about 80mph. Overtaking etc is still no problem - no where near as quick as the full 70bhp tho, but till faster acceleration than the majority of cars =]
