I have the whole Death Magnetic TAB note for note book. So I'm learning this seperately. I've only been playing for 4 days and I can play the verse and Chorus and slow solos.

How do I need to set my amplifier settings?

When I play this, my E string is very dominating compared to the other strings, and you can barrely hear what I'm actelly trying to play because of my E string.

Try to concentrate on playing the other strings more. If the low E is still predominant, then try lowering the bass on your amp.

I try to play as soft on the e string as possible, even though it's hard as hell.

I am using a Schecter C1 XXX with seymour duncan humbuckers on a line 6 spider 2 on the "insane" distortion setting. Hope that helped :)

It's the 75 W model. I'm pretty sure they are up to the Spider III now. You may be able to find the II online if you are looking for that specific model

Good playing, but your video sucks due to lighting. Try turning around to get light from window on the front of your guitar

Awewsome job, love how you break things down. Quick 2 suggestions to be even better.

1) Pls consider not spending so much time describing each note of the power chords. Just be like, "yo, power cord third fret A string and slide down to second fret A string power chord. It's quicker and easier to understand.

2) Is it possible to put a little more light on the guitar also so it's easier to see?

what setup u got on ur line 6 cause it sounds really good!

I have it on the insane setting. I can't remember the actual settings for it because it's saved on the amp but I messed with the knobs. I'm pretty sure none of the settings are above 7 though. Bass and Middle are probably around 5, treble around 7, drive around 7. Something like that.
