  • that was funny as hell xD

    I LOVE this game ;)

  • I still play the pen & paper rpg. Shadowrun is a classic.

  • Please give it a second chance and try again. Would love to see another commentary. )

  • Haha, shadowrun is an other game ;) this is the old one lol

  • Hamfist don't like you already.

  • Play with my satchel.

  • Bit awkward with the controls there? ;D What're you using for your control schema? Might want to turn the sensitivity on it down.

  • This is actually a SNES classic, one of the better games released for it.. just because you have ADHD and can't take a few minutes to get into the story & cyberpunk setting doesn't make it bad.

  • I never said it was bad, just because you're mentally disabled and can't understand a simple video doesn't mean you have to leave dumbass comments.

  • first rpg i ever played, back in the day as a kid, you can only imagine how confused i must have been; still, the game is very enthralling in its strangeness, and the music rocks as well; its based in the pen and paper rpg of the same name actually, a cross of cyberpunk genre and high fantasy

  • I thought it was based on a Gibon novel?

  • well, William Gibson basically being the father of the cyberpunk genre, one might say that; its a good game, give it a try, you get to lob grenades at a dragon and have a psycho machinegun-toting dwarf as a sidekick; doesnt get much cooler than that :D

  • @NecroVMX I know it's been over a year so you probably don't care. The story of Shadowrun is based off of Gibson novels. Then it became a tabletop rpg and then the video game was made. It took elements of fantasy and sci-fi. When it first came out it was seen as D&D in the future. It worked really well combining elements of both genres. To fully understand the "sixth world" you have to read the tabletop rpg books.

  • lmao! best commentary ever! this is like my tenth time watching this and i still laugh just as hard as the first. lol the jamaican stereotype part is clasic! his response to what you said was perfect.

  • this is one of the unique games that came out on the snes. its based loosly off of the book "neuromancer" by william gibson. being set in one of those future settings created in the 80's its pretty kool if your familiar with the book. Armitage isnt the main character in the book, like in the game. they really couldnt make an exact copy but still we know where the game creators got the entire idea for the game.

  • The Game Over theme was creepy...

  • I want a playthrough!!!

  • unlikely

  • A playthrough isn't gonna happen, it's a freakin 30 hour, confusing game, WITH the possibility of fucking up so hard that you have to restart (at the part with the doctor where you need to fix that thing in your head, not gonna spoil what, but if you fail it actually lets you keep playing except you're doomed!)

It was a superb game for its time, a good RPG with hacking and cyberpunk elements, as well as magic and sidekicks. Aren't any other games like it, and it's well worth getting into.

  • If those of you reading this want to try the game:

Be warned: Make a save BEFORE (or exactly at) the doctor event and DON'T overwrite it unless you succeed, since it lets you continue playing even if you failed. I figured it was okay and that I could just re-visit the doctor. Nope, no such luck, had to restart after already having spent countless hours.

That's THE dumbest moment in the game, everything else is a piece of cake.

I highly recommend it and wish there were other games like it.

  • Which doctor are you talking about?

I suppose you're refering to the doctor event outside the Caryard, which is a plotelement and have no succsess nor fail rate - where at you then have to see an more experianced cyberware doc?

    That event?

  • Sorry for the late reply Zeithri, I hope it's not too late. I posted a reply to LFiers and am replying to your message as well so that you'll get an email notification about this. See my response to LFiers for the answer by checking the full comment history for the video. :-)

  • Without spoiling it for anyone, which doctor event are you talking about? I dont want to stuff up my game file and have to restart so where is it? Caryard?

  • Sorry about the late reply, LFiers and Zeithri, I haven't checked YouTube comment responses in a long time.

I'll try to describe the event without spoiling it... When the Street Doc sends you to Dr. Maplethorpe to fix that thing in your head, you must have enough money before visiting him (2300 Nuyen) or you won't have enough time to get it fixed before you die.

For full details, Google "rpgclassics cortex bomb" (no quotes) and do exactly as it says. And save BEFORE the Street Doc. :-)

  • I've never had any problems with that during my playthroughs, but I've also not been below 2300 when I visisted him :p

  • Not really 30 hours when you know where to go, what you need and how you'll need to do it.

The major hour-hog of Shadowrun (Snes) is Karma collecting before the caryard.

  • OH! didnt they make a remake or a sequel or something for this on the xbox360? i think they did!

  • the 360 version is a multiplayer only FPS.

it's still a fun game but nothing like this.

  • I remember liking this game a while ago. It's a little odd to get used to, but once you understand the system, it's not too bad. The Genesis version is a lot worse in my opinion.

  • Hilarious!

I love this game. It does take a little getting used to, but once it gets going it is pretty fun. Would love to see it remade though.

  • This sort of game would do well on the DS i thought

  • LMAO! Definitely one of your best videos yet Necro, thank you to the person who requested it ;)

  • I got geeked once while waiting for the bus...

  • this is fucky LOL

  • you need to do a playthrough of this... i laughed so hard.

  • I beat it good game if you give it some time

  • looks like a fine game 2 me but probs is fuckin shit

  • no it really is great

  • Despite being a boring ass game, I found this to be one of your funniest yet.
