They're acting like no other MMO had story... Apparently they never heard of FFXI. Possibly the most story driven MMO of all time. Also the most cut scene crammed mmo of all time. Lets see FFXI... Story? Check. Questing? OMG check. Char Progression? That's a check. Combat? Turn based, but check. Ok so really they are blowing lots of smoke, and people are showing them their asses and just taking it right in the old poop shoot. SWTOR will probably be awesome but innovative? Not so much.

Gameplay to me is the foundation of a game with story being right beside it. But also having upgradable items similar to wow would be needed because star trek didnt go that route and there really isnt no incentive to continue the game, because how easy the items are to get

You know what they should do?
Give us servers where there are no quests, and you can put any items into your inventory that you want. Make it *solely* for the purpose of RP. You start at max level, with no need to grind for xp/items/money.
graphics dont matter as much as gameplay common guys every gamer shouldd know this...graphics is a bonus yes but id rather not spend 5000$ on a computer.
i bought a comp worth i dunno roughly 1500 ive had it for about 5 years now and it runs computer games fine the only thing is ive spent over 1000 on repairs new fans hardrive more ram etc but in the eend its a good computer and i fkn love it

I dont wanna sound like im dissing this game (because it looks amazing and i will totaly be buying it) but with such big story driven elements will the game fizzle out at higher character lvls. Like with other mmos endgame raids and pvp give players something to do when they reach lvl cap i just hope TOR can keep a good engame/pvp and add storyline. If it does that then this will be the best mmo to date.
An offline mode? Dude it's an MMO. Playing it in offline mode simply wouldn't work. Unless you want to run around and kill computer controlled people randomly and miss out on 90% of the game.

You have obviously never gotten far in wow or been good at it, the action in wow gets better if yoiu are at all skilled. And Wow has a story line, but you have to have really played and understand the warcrafts that came before.
WOW is so boring all there is to do is raid and pvp and they both got old years ago. there is nothing interesting in wow the crafting system is simple and boring and the story and exploration is boring.
People want an action orented MMO like WoW, not something where they have to constantly wade through verbage. Don't get me wrong, they DON'T want WoW in fact we're sick of WoW. But we need that kind of action in an MMO. Cut scenes and cinematics are not the key to success. In fact, they get in the way of the action.
The potential for this to be the next greatest MMO is there, but it can fail so easily. It all depends on if the Devs are brilliant or not. So far, the hunter targeting system that's I've seen is totally fail and would take players out of the zone so to speak to see all those images everywhere. That makes me think this is going to go the way of all the others. They can throw all the money they want to at it but if the Devs are anything less then absolutely brilliant it won't be that great.
I've been disappointed by every other MMO from WoW I tried. I'm not a WoW fanboi.

Have you tried LOTRO? in technical terms as a game, its vastly superior than wow! Guild wars is also WAY better! I have only played a bit of wow, and i can concede that its one of the, or THE most solid mmo out there. But for its sucess in the gaming market, it is extremely over-rated, its more of a merchandising exercise than a game. And many ppl play it, not rly because its good, but because its extremely addictive.

More then likely since he does have tendencies for the dark side, The lore says he left into deep space and hasnt returned. Afterwards the Sith start there campaign to take over the galaxy once again. So he left to confront the sith but in turn gets fully turned to the darkside of the force. And to take it a step further might have become the new emperor in the process. Thats my take on what i think has happened. Also the CG trailer isnt the main sith that starts the attack Malak? fighting is ridicolous at 2.02..and its like you're throwing skills at your opponenant..can't they include saber-lock and force clash too?..it be awesome for timing-gaming experience..but the fighting is quite decent but spectacular..its brighter and leads quite a relief to us Fans..but seeing this combat system..i believe Lucasarts never lent us down..even though if this isn't KOTOR 3..its a great IMMO from my point of view.

the star wars universe has had the backbone for a good mmo since it was created. Two competing factions, dfferent races, differant classes with their own strengths and weaknesses, exploration, unique abilities, weapons, etc. Im excited to see how this game will unfold. i just hope this game doesnt detroy another good movie series... no he doesnt :) he goes out to the sith empire to find his true calling, He's neither good n'or bad because first he helps the republic win then converts half the fleet into sith and destroys them. After that he decides to go to the outer rim to discover more about the sith and their ways. You are right in two ways, he goes to find the sith and he "was" good.
you guys do realize if this game is at least 30 gigs it might take days/hours to download... usually games are 1gig lower but 30 gigs were gonna need a super computer for this o.o!

More then likely since he does have tendencies for the dark side, The lore says he left into deep space and hasnt returned. fighting is ridicolous at 2.02..and its like you're throwing skills at your opponenant..can't they include saber-lock and force clash too?..it be awesome for timing-gaming experience..but the fighting is quite decent but spectacular..its brighter and leads quite a relief to us Fans..but seeing this combat system..i believe Lucasarts never lent us down..even though if this isn't KOTOR 3..its a great IMMO from my point of view.

the star wars universe has had the backbone for a good mmo since it was created. Two competing factions, dfferent races, differant classes with their own strengths and weaknesses, exploration, unique abilities, weapons, etc. Im excited to see how this game will unfold. i just hope this game doesnt detroy another good movie series...
