I don't understand all of the " Hater " comments. The video I watched, was about "Motor Cycle Rodeo Riding". By Men and Women who ride these machines for their living. We do the same thing once a year in a "National Trucking Rodeo"

The BMW went over the ramp better but the rider seemed over-thrilled by his machine, braking later and aparently, going into the turn too slow. Maybe he was faster, but he seemed slower.

On the street the ground clearence of the BMW makes it faster for sure, nevermind the engine that is like space age compared to the Harleys.

For fun I'd learn to ride the Harley.

For touring I'd get the BMW.

Motorcycle cops do some absolutely amazing things on their bikes. I've been practicing and I'm proud of what I can do on a bike but these guys are still way better than I am. Yeah, it comes with some bumps and bruises and scraped parts but that's how they get this good, lots of mistakes. I haven't dropped mine yet so I guess I'm not trying hard enough. :-) Thanks to all the officers. Yeah, there are some real jerks but they all have a job to do and I support you all!

I had such a respect for these guys until the Boynton Beach motorcycle PD pulled me over (car not on moto) and gave me attitude. Terrible conduct and experience after meeting and speaking with so many nice cops. I asked why the bad attitude and he shrugged his soldiers with no response. Regardless, private sector or public ... you have some good people and some not so good people.

@jssiler but .. more bad than good in the PD. I can't say I blame em much. First off, a lot of em are just bullies to begin with, at least they aren't out punching people in bars. If I were to get a job where 90+% of the people I saw every day were dirtbag criminals having other dirtbag criminals commit crimes against and the other 10ish % pittiful people that didn't deserve what they got, I'd start getting pretty pissy and have low standards too.

The beemer rocks. I am certified to ride it for police work. The center of gravity is very hight. As you turn the bike it wants to dump you. The Harley is a piece of cake to ride. It has a very low center of gravity. The Harley puts off a lot of heat between the legs and creates alot of discomfort. The Beemer is cooler to ride, less heat. I prefer the Beemer. Very comfortable to ride.

The down side to the beemer is driving long distance to get it worked on.

the newer harleys have the cyl reduction engines...you know...where at idling at a light or stopped for any reason you can twist the throttle forward to stop the combustion in the rear v twin cyl...to keep the heat to a minimum off the inner thighs. its a very nice concept.
