Air Jamaica will be missed!!! FUCKING PEICE OF SHIT WHY CARRIBEAN AIRLINES WHYYYY ( i heart i trinis) WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This hurts very very sad to know that we could not hold on to this beautiful piece of our History The Government needs to stay away from our Industries they only created Havoc very very sad
This hurts it is so sad to see that we could not hold on to a great piece of our pride and joy what else are we going to loose or what else do we have to loose Very Very Sad the Government needs to stay away from our industries they only created HAVOC
Is what you is saying to me?! Me neva know Air Jamaica done? Is it just at MIA or done for good? Somebody fill me in, please? I haven't been (home) in 10yrs and this year is the year I am planning to go back to visit and now this? SMH.
This is so freaking sad yes... why ????? so much for be flying my countries aircraft.. gonna have to get a miniature and fly that one..damn sellout!!!!
I have always flown airja and back in 2006 air jamaica played a role in sponsering me and my music students to the World Championships, while there in california an incident took place which I latter shared onstage back in jamiaca at a standup comedy gathering, the delivery was poor ,it was my first attempt at standup comedy but when uploaded on youtube it still has the most views I've ever recieved for my videos. check it out its entitled WHY AIR JAMAICA WILL ALWAYS FLOP TERRORIST BOMBERS
This is so sad :( She's such a beauty, Wish i was working for Air J. Love the uniform, love my black people, love the bright caribbean colors. Wonderful
As i say ,bad management destroyed Air J..,Air J have flown almost full capacity during summer on every route not to mention Christmas season...as most Jamaicans go home for Christmas, the airline have gone from 16 aircrafts to nine..cut routes that they were flying 75% capacity, sold one route for nickle and dime.gave up on Miami even though Ft. Lauderdale was not a bad idea to expand, but AA was no match for Air J out of Miami.put good business minded people at Air J and she will thrive again.
I agree with you. Watching this vid brought tears to my eyes because it signifies the death of a tradition. Air Jamaica was a way of life for some of us. Plus they had the best on air service - food instead of crackers and great hospitality. It took a lot of stupid decisions on the part of the government to drive this beautiful airline into the ground and I am truly upset. LONG LIVE AIR JAMAICA!!!
I never know I would live to see the day Air Jamaica stop flying to Miami; of all places. I remember when they use to go there 7 days a week, 5 times a day. Thats a shame.
i hear jetblue going to be flying to jamaica may21 2009 and they also have very cheap tikets going to montego bay and soon they going to fly to kingston. and i also hear that they looking to buy air jamaica
Very sad to see Air J leaves Miami....which has been a reknown route from day one of the airline...bad management and corruption played a big role in the failuer of our airline..if Air J was flying at 95% capacity the problem would still exist..The Jamaican Government must get their hands out of Air J..anything the government has their hands in never prosper..remember JOS..JTC..NWC..JRC..KSAC..JAMINTEL..FERRY BOATS..and i could go on and on..I hope Air J makes it
Well, I think they have a good chance to recover in the next 2 years. All their flights are sold out this summer, so I guess they are having good business. I also hope they get back up in a few years. I heard they were going to buy a A330 and expand their route to somewhere in Europe, after they recover.
:( We really miss the Grenada to Jamaica flight from here. Really hoping that the can come back soon. Took my last flight with them from Jamaica to here on Feb. 21st. Its going to be so hard to get back to Jamaica now. We really really miss Lovebird here. But we're still praying and hoping for them to come back even if it's one flight a week. So sad to see such a wonderful airline in so much problems. And this was a touching video. :(
Very sad indeed. I was very excited when they brought service back here in Toronto Canada in 2004 after being gone for 14 years. And I was very fortunate to fly with them. love the ackee and salt fish with fried dumplins for breakfast. Hope they work it out for you folks soon
poor management resulted in this happening...and yet it is the staff of air jamaica who as to pay...they reduce and cut flights even the ones that where doing well just to justify getting rid of staff, while those who ran the airline in the ground continue to suck the airline dry...the reason why jm lost so much money is because of incompetent and selfish managers...not the economy and certainly not the staff
POOR MANAGEMENT AND CORRUPTION, AIR JAMAICA MR NOBLES WIFE IS BIG SHOT AT AA HOW COME THEY HAVE ABOUT 5 FLIGHTS DAILY, AND THEY PAY AA US$5 mil for AA TO CONTINUE FLYING TO JA....I CANNOT STAND IT.....WE LOVE YOU AIR JAMAICA , YOU WILL SURVIVE
I agree 100%. Poor mgt indeed. This was one Air J's signature routes, been going there since the Airline started 40 yrs ago now all of a sudden it's not feasible. Why didnt they scale back the number of flights instead of chopping the route all together? It's just like how they sold out the London slots for nickel & dime.
Stunna, hi , I did not know that about Delta either, its all coming together, you know, they say they have 3 buyers, but whats the big secret, as we say in Jamaica nothing is a secret, how come no one can figure this out, do you really think they have buyers interested, or its all a lie?
I was reading and I realized the Air Jamaica flights from Atlanta had a 75% load factor, thats very good considering it has Delta as competition. I dont understand why they dropped Atlanta. And I was reading where some people that run travel agencies in L.A. were saying that they could sell a ticket to Jamaica over Tahiti or Honolulu any day.

Yep his wife is a big shot with AA and she was a big shot with Delta, maybe that has something to do with the ending of the ATL route.
